The Property
Luxury Self-Catering Barn on Edge of Dartmoor
Inside
This recently renovated former farm building exudes character and style. With chunky statements in wood, quirky splashes of animal hide, a sprinkling of interesting artefacts, and elegant stand-alone bath tubs; Rydon is in a class all its own. The topsy-turvy living space has a calming ambience, reflecting the peaceful nature of the countryside all around.
- Style: Traditional farmhouse barn conversion with a characterful contemporary twist.
- Bedrooms and Bathrooms: Two ground floor double bedrooms and one twin room. The master bedroom has a stand alone bath tub in the room, as well as a separate en suite bathroom and there's a family bathroom with a walk in rain shower.
- For relaxation: Dine al fresco taking in the far-reaching views with nothing to disturb but the moo-ing of the neighbouring cows. Enjoy an early morning dip in the outdoor pool, or why not take the family for a long hike before returning to your abode hungry and rosy-cheeked.
- Practicalities: Ample off-road parking for up to three cars. Please note: whilst virtually all the mile long private driveway is Tarmac, a short piece at the beginning is unmade and may not suit very low slung sports cars.
Outside
Approaching the property along the mile-long private driveway, guests are welcomed to Rydon with picturesque views for miles. Set in 30acres of beautiful Devonshire countryside, the property sits in an idyllic hamlet in the Teign Valley. Pretty potted blooms adorn the gravelled courtyard al fresco dining area, whilst the sweeping lawn stretches down to the swimming pool at the far end of the garden.
