The Property

Luxury garden lovers B&B on the Lizard Peninsula, West Cornwall

Inside

An historical property built in 1683, Landewednack was a former rectory named by 6th Century Breton monks. Situated on the most southerly point of the UK, the house commands sweeping views of the wild Atlantic.

  • Style: Beautifully restored to enhance its charming historic features with an air of elegance and luxury.
  • Bedrooms and Bathrooms: Five beautifully furnished rooms (3 doubles, a twin and a single). All bedrooms are named after the owner’s favourite local landscapes: Helford River has a four-poster double and en suite bathroom; Frenchman’s Creek is an elegant twin; Kynance Cove has a luxurious double-canopied bed and en suite facilities; Church Cove is a beautiful double; and Lizard Point is a snuggly single. The two doubles in the house both have en suites, the twin has a private bathroom with a spa and Jacuzzi, and the other double also boasts its own private bathroom.
  • For relaxation: Sink into a lounger in the summerhouse and ensconce yourself in the calm and peaceful atmosphere, or light the barbecue and ask your private chef to rustle up a cocktail.
  • For recreation: Explore the rugged coast and rolling countryside, then take a dip in the Jacuzzi or swimming pool.

Outside

The garden flaunts an array of exotic trees and plants in a radiant, secluded plot with a large heated swimming pool, summerhouse, walled garden, water features and sheltered corners in which to hideaway with a book. From the grounds you can enjoy dazzling sea-views sweeping beyond the tiny church that sits peacefully at the foot of the grounds.

Breakfast

Choose from a wide range of cereals, fresh fruit salad, a selection of yoghurts, as well as fruit juices, fresh ground coffee and tea. For those with a sweet tooth, there  is freshly baked bread with jams and marmalade, or if you want to go the whole hog then tuck into a full Cornish Breakfast, consisting of locally made sausages, locally sourced bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms and free range eggs. Or why not try the other delicious breakfast dishes that may be on offer; Pancakes with a choice of filling; smoked salmon and scrambled egg; smoked haddock and poached egg; boiled egg and soldiers; omelette with a choice of filling; or poached egg on toast.
