With its topsy-turvy eco-friendly design and quiet rural location not too far from Padstow, The Stud is a true luxury self-catering gem. The vaulted ceiling of the first floor sitting room creates an atmospheric space for accomplished pianists to 'tinkle the ivories' whilst leading the family in a rousing rendition of a traditional Cornish sea shanty! During summer months fling open the balcony to welcome in the late afternoon sunshine and enjoy the peaceful buzz of wildlife in the garden.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The first floor king-size bedroom has an adjoining bathroom with deep slipper bath tub and open wet room shower. Downstairs there is a smartly furnished single room, as well as a double bedroom with fine linens. The ground floor double room also benefits from a sweet sun room which has access to the garden and will prove the perfect place for sunny breakfasts before setting off on the day's adventures. There is a family bathroom on the ground floor with bath and luxury rain shower, which boasts an intriguing fusion of original Cornish stonework and atmospheric lighting.
The enclosed lawned gardens will be a perfect place for a game of Boules, or just spread out a blanket and catch up on your reading list. The monumental paved area to the front of the south-facing sun room is the perfect place to sit and watch for shooting stars. For good old fashioned bucket-and-spade adventures, some of Cornwall's finest stretches of golden sand can be found just twenty minutes from The Stud.
A log burner plus the eco ground source heat pump ensure that snuggling up watching old romantic movies in winter months will be deliciously cosy. Summer will be the time for lively family BBQs in the garden using the freshest of local produce. You may even be lucky enough to sizzle your very own 'catch of the day' on the BBQ if you choose to charter a fishing boat from nearby Padstow harbour and the mackerel is biting!
There is ample parking for several cars. There is an Aga, dishwasher and multi-function microwave oven in the kitchen, and a utility with washing machine and tumble dryer. Please note that the piano will be locked unless the use of which is requested in advance by musicians wishing to play. The owner lives adjacent to the property.
