With sublime panoramic views from every room and a wraparound deck where you can enjoy an invigorating dose of salty sea air, The Viewing Gallery is the perfect luxury self-catering pad to enjoy your family holiday by the sea. This flawlessly designed contemporary abode is equidistant between St Ives and St Agnes on Cornwall's north coast, and overlooks Portreath beach which is popular with both surfers and families alike.
Experience 'life on the ocean wave' without leaving the safety of the shore; landlubbers can enjoy far-reaching vistas out to the horizon from this luxury self-catering home stay, watch for dolphins and seals playing in the surf, and sit agog at the breath-taking sunsets all from the comfort of the private deck at The Viewing Gallery. It is impossible to tire of the ever-changing views which seem to dance and sway in time with the ebb and flow of the tides; the picture windows beautifully frame the natural 'fine art' on your doorstep...
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The first floor king-size master bedroom boasts a private balcony which will prove a favourite spot to stargaze with a glass of something chilled once the children have gone to bed. Also on the first floor is the characterful nautical-themed bunk room; the lower bunk is large enough for adults, whilst the top bunk might be more suited in size to younger members of the family. The zip-and-link king-size bedroom on the lower floor is accented with navy and golds to add a luxurious feel. There is one shower room on the first floor, as well as a spacious bathroom on the lower floor with bath and separate rain shower.
The Viewing Gallery occupies an enviable location overlooking Portreath beach, just a short walk down (but steep walk back!) to the characterful inns and cafes which pepper the harbour town. Portreath Harbour is part of UNESCO's World Heritage Site 'Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape', and a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If you can pull yourself away from the enclosed gardens and spacious terrace, the Tramway Coast to Coast Trail from Portreath to Devoran is one of the most pleasant ways to explore the local area.
Hire a surfboard and try your hand at riding atop the crest of the waves, there's no other feeling like it! After a day at the beach rockpooling with the little ones and a scrumptious picnic of cucumber sandwiches and raspberry jam tarts, what better way to recount the day's adventures than with a lively family al fresco supper out on the terrace? Favourite foodie haunt St Ives is just a half hour drive away with its Tate Gallery and good selection of restaurants, whilst no visit to Portreath is complete without trying a delicious handmade pasty from the Portreath Bakery. In winter months snuggle up by the woodburner with a hot chocolate and stormwatch from the comfort of your luxury abode...

FOOD AND DRINK
The sleek contemporary kitchen provides a luxurious space to rustle up a family favourite, or why not test your culinary wizardry by sampling a local delicacy such as Stargazey pie or grilled mackerel freshly landed in the harbour that day? The open-plan living and dining room provides a social space where all the family can relax and unwind together.
If you'd rather spend your self-catering break indulging in the little luxuries, let an in-house chef prepare a mouth-watering meal for you and your party (on prior request and subject to an additional cost).
Cornwall's north coast is a treasure trove of quirky cafes, traditional pubs and fine dining restaurants serving the freshest catch of the day. World-class restaurants and cafes have sprung up around nearby St Ives, clustered around the harbour by the warm waters of the bay, perched above the beach with stunning views- well worth a visit!
