This typical Chelsea town house was built in the early 1800s, enjoy the laid-back ambience of this beautiful property, tucked away from the thriving heart of Chelsea. Your host will arm you with insider tips to the city, whilst providing you with a charming place to stay in one of London’s most desirable postcodes.  

Inside

• Style: The cosy, characterful interior of this London B&B is decked out with bright colours and eclectic furnishings from a range of places and periods.
• Bedrooms and Bathrooms: One large and airy double room at the top of the house, with a glass wall leading to a tiny balcony overlooking the city. The en suite bathroom is well appointed with lovely marble and mirror features. The second bedroom is cosy and compact, but has all the comforts needed for a restful stay, including a private bathroom next door.
• For relaxation: After a day seeing the sights and shopping, put your feet up by the fireside in the lounge, kickback one of the recliners in your private room or enjoy a glass of wine on the garden terrace. 
• For recreation: Step outside and you’re in the heart of Chelsea, a desirable part of London packed with boutiques and highly-acclaimed restaurants.
• Practicalities: TV in the room, bathrobes, hair-dryer and toiletries

Outside

The sitting room leads out to a lovely terrace shrouded in greenery – a wonderful spot for a glass of wine on a summer’s evening. There is also a tiny private balcony accessible from the guest bedroom.

In-house cuisine: A delicious continental breakfast is served in the Baker and Spice delicatessen opposite 4 First Street (not included in the tariff). Tea and coffee facilities are available in the kitchen.

Getting there

• On the map: In the heart of Chelsea, just off Wallon Street.
• By car: If you are driving in central London be aware that congestion charges are payable. There are parking meters outside the property, but a parking space is not guaranteed.
• By train: The closest mainline train station is Victoria (about 30 minutes on foot or less than minutes in a cab), or take the London Underground to South Kensington tube station (a 7-minute walk from the house).
• By air: Fly into any London airport and transfer to the city centre by train or tube.

About Your Hosts

Your host, Shirley Eaton, has been involved with luxury B&B accommodation for the last 18 years and provides a relaxed style B&B where guests have the freedom to come and go as they please. Shirley was originally from the north of England where she ran an interior decorating business and an up-market wine bar. She is still involved with her interior decorating for a few chosen clients and also restores cottages in the country.
