Set deep within the Cornish countryside, yet only a short drive from Crantock beach on North Cornwall's golden coastline, this luxury self-catering holiday cottage is as quaint as they come. Behind its old stone façade, Sweetpea Cottage flaunts a vintage glamour style with a sprinkling of the rough luxe, making it a sophisticated retreat for baby-friendly breaks and romantic escapes.
Sweetpea Cottage sits in the hamlet of Kestle Mill, just a few miles from the wild surf and fine sands of Lusty Glaze, Porth Beach and Crantock on the beautiful north coast of Cornwall. Along with its elegant interiors, the quirky imperfections are what makes this luxury self-catering holiday cottage so swoonsome. Soft textures, sheepskins and botanical fabrics decorate this characterful home alongside salvaged antiques, to achieve vintage country glamour at its very finest.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The plush family bathroom sits on the ground floor of the cottage and includes a clawfoot bathtub with handheld shower attachment and overhead rain shower for an invigorating wake up. The master bedroom boasts a beautifully ornate king-size colonial bed. Next door there is a charming and well-equipped nursery with large cot; a cocoon hideaway in which baby can enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep beneath the dreamy cloud mobile above.
The enclosed garden plays host to a mix of soft planting against a chalky backdrop, reminiscent of a Chelsea roof garden made for sophisticated al fresco dining and sunshine reclining. On rainy days, the vintage summerhouse is the perfect spot for a pot of tea with the Sunday papers. Saunter up the hill to Trerice, a romantic Elizabethan Manor House with fine interiors and enchanting gardens. Challenge your partner to a game of badminton, or 'slapcock' as the Tudors liked to call it, on the green. Those inspired by the cottage's antique furnishings can visit Bennicks auction nearby to pick up some treasures of their own!
After a day spent trekking the beaches on horseback, frolicking in the surf or rambling along the breath-taking coast path, a tranquil haven awaits on return to Sweetpea Cottage. Pull the cork on a good bottle of wine and cook up a hearty supper to enjoy beneath the soft glow of the chandelier. Curl up in the antique armchair by the inglenook fire and discover more about the local history through reading tales of the Cornish smugglers who once frequented the coves nearby.
There is private off-road parking for one car. The kitchen flaunts a fridge, freezer, drinks cooler, double Bertazzoni Range cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. The gardener will water the plants on Mondays and Fridays between 1-2pm.

Property Owner Kahdine says
I fell in love with the property’s wonky walls, original beams and pretty cottage windows in an instant and knew it would make the perfect first home for my small family. Now I want other new parents and couples to enjoy the quirky charm of my Cornish chocolate-box home just like we did!
FOOD AND DRINK
