Inside

Described as 'the most striking modernist house in the Cotswolds' by House and Garden magazine, this contemporary and stylish glass-fronted Cotswold's home boasts an idyllic waterfront position. There's a real sense of space at this minimalist property, complete with a fantastic veranda that overhangs the serene lake. 

• Style: Contemporary stylish design with indulgent luxurious comforts.  
• Bedrooms and Bathrooms: Choose from four waterfront bedrooms each offering breath taking tranquil views from the floor to ceiling panoramic windows. Upstairs, the large master bedroom is spacious and luxurious with a private seating area, super king sized bed and a large contemporary natural limestone bathroom with large jacuzzi spa bath, shower and double sink. The remaining bedrooms are again spacious and beautifully presented - the house offers a further two large super king doubles - one with private bathroom, one with shower room - and one twin room with adjacent shower room. The master bedroom also has a sumptuous sofa bed offering accommodation for a further 2 children if required.
• For relaxation: Sit peacefully by the serene waters from your very own veranda with only the swans to disturb. Enjoy an indulgent waterside massage within your home. From April 2012, guests will be able to enjoy access to a spa complex (within the gated community) just three minute's walk from the Glasshouse. Featuring a 25m indoor pool and separate children's pool, a man-made beach, gym, hot tub, treatment rooms and much more, it's the perfect place to relax.
• For recreation: Launch your private kayak and glide across the clear waters teeming with trout and crayfish, explore the collection of lakes shared by the resident otters and bank side deer. Take advantage of the visiting spa service or take the 3 minute walk to the Techno Gym. Relax in the Executive Club Lounge, designed to the highest specification and decorated with some iconic pieces of art and design. Enjoy a drink from the honesty bar whilst playing pool, then sit on the south west facing verandah and enjoy the magnificent views before returning to your homestay to indulge yourself some more. 
• Practicalities: Large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, access to the utility room with separate washing machine, dryer and microwave. There are two designated car parking spaces outside the house with further 2 spaces in the overflow car park (3 minutes walk from the house). Any additional parking request needs to be approved with the owner before booking is accepted.

Please note: 

-From October to March access to the lake is suspended in order to protect the over-wintering bird population.  This restriction applies to kayaking, boating, fishing and swimming.

Outside

Sensitively nestled amidst 650 acres of breathtaking natural countryside, The Glasshouse is carefully managed to maintain the innate peace and tranquillity surrounding the eco home. Clever planting discreetly hides necessities of parking bays whilst established ferns and tropical shrubs blend well with the softness of the wooden clad home. A private foot bridge over a stream leads to the secluded front door. Please note this property is part of a private gated community and there are other properties in the vicinity.

Food and Wine

• DIY: Available on a self catered basis, the well equipped sunny kitchen looks out onto the lake offering inspiration to those budding chefs. Enhance your self-catered stay by adding bubbles and chocolates, a cream tea or fresh picnic from Unique Boutique.
• In-house cuisine: Catering is available at an additional cost and is to be arranged direct with the caterers. We are able to provide you with contacts for recommended caterers on request.
• Eating out: A variety of eateries scatter the pretty Cotswold's offering traditional fare to fine dining. Discover Colleys Supper Rooms in nearby Lechlade or the ultimate fine dining experience at Le Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons nr Oxford.
