Bedrooms and Bathrooms
There are four first floor double en suite rooms in total at Silvanus, as well as the spacious Aqua Master Suite with an adjoining twin room, plus a separate en suite zip-and-link twin bedroom which can also be made into a super king (The Green Bedroom). An additional two guests can be accommodated in the separate Honeymoon Suite at the edge of the garden. The Red Bedroom has an en suite shower room, while the Green, Yellow, and Grey bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and the Blue Bedroom has an en suite bath and shower. The Aqua Suite has an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and Victorian style bath. The Honeymoon Suite sits separate to the main house and has a super king-sized double bed and en suite shower room.
Set within two-acres of enclosed landscaped gardens with spectacular views over the ancient fishing harbour of Mevagissey. The stretch of front lawn is the ideal place for a game of cricket or croquet, or idle away a Cornish summer's day poolside taking in the vista from your bird's eye vantage point. The vegetable patch and fruit cage are yours for the picking - there's nothing quite like your very own freshly hand-picked peach Bellini! A short stroll from the main house, the Honeymoon Suite offers idyllic privacy for a couple. With an en-suite shower, dressing room, wood burner and its own kitchenette, the Honeymoon Suite has everything required for a romantic stay for two. (The air source heat pump which heats the pool is weather-dependent.)
Take a stroll around the sleepy fishing village of Mevagissey, winding your way through the narrow alleyways to browse gift shops and art galleries. In the winter months, curl up in front of the wood burner with a good book and enjoy views of the crashing waves below. The snooker table cunningly transforms into a large dining table seating ten, perfect for hosting family and friends.
There is on site parking for eight cars; beyond the tennis court is a car park which will take 20 cars. Dog sitting is available on prior request and at additional cost. Any outdoor celebrations must end at midnight. However, the party can continue on into the Disco Hall in the main house which (providing doors and windows are kept closed) is completely soundproofed and built with celebrations in mind! No guests are permitted in the swimming pool after 9pm. It is of paramount importance that children do not operate the pool cover-a responsible adult should always have charge of the swimming pool cover key.

There is a huge open plan family kitchen and dining area with 4-oven Aga, plus an additional catering kitchen with all mod cons where in-house caterers can beaver away leaving you and your party to relax in style. Take your pick (literally!) from the vegetable and fruit gardens to help enhance any menu with delicious seasonal produce grown in the generous Cornish climate.
House Manager Amanda can prepare delicious home cooked delights including lasagnes, biscuits and cakes (to die for!). Or why not let an in-house chef prepare a mouth-watering meal for you and your party (all on prior request and subject to an additional cost). See our selection of tried and tasted recommendations.
