Head to the Beach! With miles of golden sandy beach, you have a bird’s eye view of Whitsand Bay from The Edge.
Village Life There are some really beautiful seaside villages close to the property. Polperro (within 30 minutes of The Edge) is well worth a visit; take the horse and cart to the harbour front, then head on foot to look for the natural swimming pool carved into the rocks, before dinner at Couch’s. Visit the fishing village of Looe with its cobbled streets, quaint cafes and gift shops, whilst there’s a real step-back-in-time feel to the narrow streets and quaint cottages of nearby Kingsand and Cawsand.
On the Water From learning to surf, to coasteering and kayaking; whether you’re a novice when it comes to on-the-water escapades and you’re looking to try something new, or you’ve experience when it comes to adventure sports, there’s a whole host of activities available locally.
Green Fingers From the 865 acres of parkland that comprise Mount Edgcumbe County Park, to the riverside setting of Anthony House and the woodland walks at Cothele, there are a whole host of interesting gardens and historic houses to explore. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a little further afield (around an hour from The Edge) but worth a visit to witness the Victorian gardens, ancient woodland and sub-tropical jungle first hand.
On Foot Adventures Pack a picnic and head off on foot to explore the stunning surrounds in which The Edge is nestled. There are some great walks – whether you’re looking for a more leisurely stroll or leg-stretch – from your doorstep.
Fore! There’s a stunning 18-hole golf course at Whitsand Bay if you fancy taking a break from a day at the beach.
