Ten
Little Venice, London, UK
An extrovert’s playroom shrieking ‘style’ down to the last detail, Ten is a luxury self-catering house fit for superstars and style-savvy travellers on a sought-after West London street. From the extensive collection of modern art to the private al fresco oasis shrouded by banana plants and water features, this unique homestay oozes eccentric English city charm, and all just a short hop from the centre of town in tranquil Little Venice.
Introduction
The flamboyant design behind the interior of this individualistic West London townhouse stems from the owner’s keen interest in modern art. Behind the white stucco front door awaits a treasure trove of contemporary works threading the creative theme right through all four floors of this charming pied-à-terre. Seasoned travellers can live out their urban dream, unfurling within a stylish haven of neon signs, exotic prints and weighty sculpture before discovering the secrets of the city. With London’s beating heart a nod away leading visitors to the West End and beyond, there are a host of quirky streets to explore close by, and waterways to follow back before relaxing in this extraordinary gallery 'home'.
Inside
It's rare to get a glimpse behind the grandiose doors of a leafy London home such as this, and the interior doesn’t disappoint. Step through the entrance hall – with its original Portland stone flooring and ornate winding stairwell – and you’ll see walls lined with row upon row of contemporary and racy artworks: framed in box cases, behind glass, then placed through the house in the form of out-there sculptures and artefacts. Vintage touches cross the decades: there’s a distinctly 60s vibe to the day room's botanic glass chandelier and hanging pod chair, while two modern bathrooms present contemporary comfort. The master suite dominates the first floor of this London townhouse with extensive garden views and a large dressing room.
Outside
After a night on the tiles, sipping on cocktails and swirling beneath the glittering ceilings of London’s finest member’s clubs, mornings at Ten will be a welcome contrast waking to green window views and plush rugs underfoot. Fragrant cups of coffee can be carried out to the private courtyard, where traffic sounds dissolve against the whispers of a babbling water feature meandering around the deck. Those who explore beyond the garden gate are rewarded with an oasis of greenery, accessed exclusively by houses on the same street; these private gardens boast woodland, a playground and tennis court. Forage further to find London’s Little Venice right on the doorstep, pick from one of the chic cafés and watch the barges bob up and down.

From the owner
“Collecting art is a passion of mine. I enjoy surrounding myself with beautiful, alternative pieces and each room at Ten has a strong and individualistic identity.”

I treat my home as an ever-evolving gallery space that combines the colourful with the quirky, and I hope that you find my home a joyful and inspiring place to stay when exploring this vibrant city.
Whether you’re staying as a family, a couple or even for business, heading out on bike or on foot, how you choose to enjoy your London stay is going to be such a personal experience, but I hope that you find Ten an idyllic haven from which to begin and end your day.
We end a summer's day feet up within our tropical oasis of a garden, a verdant and energising retreat zone that feels far-removed from city life.
