Head of Marketing

As the Head of Marketing for Unique Homestays, you will develop and deliver innovative strategies to drive growth across our portfolio.

The Role

This is a key leadership role responsible for the oversight of the marketing department by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning of Unique Homestays. You will do so by leveraging internal support and championing collaboration. Your eye for detail and results is uncompromising, as is your ability to craft excellent verbal and written communications that reflect our brand values and approach to business.

As a member of the senior management team reporting directly to the GM, you will contribute to the achievement of Company-wide strategy and objectives by fostering strong cross-team working relationships with other areas of the business.


The Person

You will be an experienced and versatile marketing leader with a track record of engendering trust through strong insight in growing and developing brands and teams. Optimistic and self-motivated, you will have an openness to new thinking and the resilience to operate in a dynamic and evolving environment. You will be used to prioritising, managing and aligning a number of short- and long-term objectives. A minimum of five years in a similar role with relevant managerial and marketing qualifications is essential.

Relevant experience from within the luxury sector would give you a distinct advantage.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Prior experience in a similar position is essential and ideally from a company at ease collaborating with property owners and guests of distinctive properties.
  • Up to date knowledge of marketing best practices and an eye for creative marketing opportunities.
  • Experience with digital and print marketing, content marketing and social media marketing.
  • Experience in crafting an excellent standard of written and verbal communication.
  • Seasoned at planning, implementing, analysing, and reporting marketing strategies, budgets and performance.
  • The confidence to create lasting quality relationships at all levels.
  • The ability to lead and inspire a creative and results-focused marketing team.
  • Experience in delivering upon multiple tasks proactively, accurately and in advance of deadlines.

Preferred qualifications and skills

  • Degree qualified and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
  • Established portfolio of media and PR contacts.

The Specifics

  • This role is a full time, working Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm
  • We operate a hybrid work policy with the option to work up to 2 days per week from home, and a minimum of 3 days from our offices in a converted country cottage
  • You will have 22 days paid holiday plus bank holidays, and your birthday off
