Sales and Portfolio Manager

The Role

Unique Home Stays are seeking a full time Sales & Portfolio Manager to join our head office team just outside of Newquay. This is a key management role accountable for the development and execution of the Company’s long-term owner and guest strategy and the operational and tactical requirements to realise that strategy. This role has become vacant due to an internal promotion and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and proactive manager looking for a new challenge to join this established, dynamic and ambitious company. This is a broad management role overseeing eight Home Stay Specialists and two Property Owner Consultants. The role has accountability for the management, development and motivation of the Sales & Portfolio Team to ensure the efficient delivery of sales performance and owner services dedicated to delivering a best in class owner and guest experience. Reporting to the Head of Operations you will be part of a management team working to ensure a consistent level of excellence and expertise across the business, as you would expect when representing such a prestigious brand. You will need to be adept at building strong relationships with your colleagues, owners, guests and suppliers alike.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have gained a strong track record of managing an office based team. You will be passionate about the challenge of providing exceptional customer service both internal and external both in terms of the day to day and the insight into the performance of the business. Relevant experience, especially that of a similarly fast paced and varied working environment, especially in the travel and accommodation industry would be a strong advantage and would enable you to able to hit the ground running. Experience and Skills

  • Management experience and proven success in a similar role
  • Confident working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to work on own initiative with the right level of detail and professionalism.
  • Good IT skills and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Powerpoint etc.
  • High attention to detail
  • Genuine interest in luxury travel, beautiful homes and interiors
  • A desire to work in a growing business with ambitious targets and a work ethic to match
  • Team player with a positive, proactive ’can-do’ attitude

Unique Home Stays is based in a modern open plan office set in the pretty countryside hamlet of Trebudannon. Standard work hours are between 9am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday with a salary dependent on experience but expected to be in the region of £28,000.
