Cradled in the gentle Rutland countryside, The Shearling is a place where the boundary between inside and out dissolves. Once a shelter for grazing animals, it has been lovingly transformed into a sanctuary of calm, understated luxury: organic hues, curated British art and vast glass doors that frame views stretching to Eyebrook Reservoir. In the garden, designed by Chelsea Flower Show judge Bunny Guinness, a heated infinity pool appears to flow into the horizon and an outdoor kitchen invites al fresco feasts. Here, life moves at a softer rhythm.
