Sales Team Manager

As our Sales Team Manager, you will lead our team of Homestay Specialists to deliver on an exceptional and informed internal and external customer service experience, that exudes our passion for our brand, our people, our performance, our customers and our values.

Main Responsibilities:

Team Leadership

  • Lead your team with thought leadership, best-fit people and sales practices to leverage optimal performance and productivity. 
  • Set, communicate and drive individual and team goals in-line with the business goals, and lead your team to deliver in alignment with Unique Homestays' values of passion, innovation, trust, creativity, and honesty.
  • Be at ease monitoring and analysing data, presenting to both the sales team as well as the senior leadership team on a weekly basis to spot trends and maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Provide Homestay Specialists with feedback both daily and in formalised reviews; training coaching, managing and recording progress as appropriate in order to maximise staff performance, satisfaction and retention.
  • Be the escalation point for the resolution of any guest, owner, or team issues or concerns that cannot be met by your team, using that experience to coach and develop your team for improved performance and a greater guest, owner, and team experience.
  • Adhere to and champion Health and Safety and Unique Homestays policies, processes, procedures and standards and have your team do the same.
  • Take responsibility for succession planning selection of the Homestay Specialist team to ensure our customer services department is best in class.

The Guest Experience

  • Lead an engaged and well-informed team of Homestay Specialists that deliver on all guest enquiries with pace, warmth, impeccable written and verbal articulation, and high attention to detail, ensuring that all guest enquires, and associated pre- and post-booking tasks are completed to the standards and timeframes required.

The Owner Experience

  • Liaise with owners as required offering informed guidance and exceptional customer service.

Job Skills and Qualifications 

Minimum requirements:

  • Four years of experience as an inclusive team leader of a collaborative and high-performing sales team
  • Five years’ experience within a collaborative and high-performing sales team
  • Confident, charismatic and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A holistic thinker with a remarkable eye for detail and accuracy
  • Experience in optimising the performance and productivity of sales team members both as individuals and as a collective
  • Holder of a UK driving license

Preferred requirements:

  • Experience collaborating closely with owners of distinctive properties
  • Luxury or hospitality experience
  • Experience, energy, and enthusiasm for delivering outstanding customer service that truly steps away from the usual

The Specifics

  • This role is a full time, permanent role based in our Cornwall office
  • Working Monday-Friday 9am to 5:30pm
  • You will have 22 days paid holiday plus bank holidays, and your birthday off*

  • Starting salary is competitive and dependent on experience
