Ensconced in nature at the end of a winding country lane, this luxury cottage hideaway is just three miles from Perranporth beach, close to the north Cornwall coastal path. The minimalist aesthetic doesn’t compromise on comfort, including intricate design details such as silver wood shingle walls and peephole windows that create a dappled light effect, like sunlight through trees into the modern living space. Vast suspended windows overhang brimming green borders to lend a garden room feel; the perfect sanctuary a world away from the concrete jungle of city life.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Striking in its simplicity, the en suite concrete bathroom comes complete with double vintage sinks, cast bath and rain shower with garden views. With a dreamy king-size bed that overhangs the garden, stargazing and cloud watching from your pillow is a reality in this tranquil domain.


In summer months the pretty, private garden is a refuge of serenity. The covered deck leading from the kitchen features a hand-crafted concrete barbecue which is perfect for cooking up a wild foraged feast. There’s also a raised deck with hot tub and far-reaching valley views, a verdant lawn for sunshine reclining and a large corner seating area complete with fire pit.

From throwing open the bi-fold doors on a summer's morning to sitting in front of the roaring open fire of a winter’s evening, The Hide is as perfect a haven for creative solo escapes as it is for romantic weekends away. Those looking to wholeheartedly embrace the "retreat" vibe can start the day with yoga on the deck (there's mats and blocks provided) a rejuvenating dip in the hot tub or discover a secret beach for a sunrise sea swim. Head off on an on-foot exploration with a local wild food expert, or join one of the lively outdoor feast nights at The Hidden Hut or Nancarrow Farm nearby.


There’s private gated parking for one car. The Hide is well-equipped with an electric double oven, induction hob, coffee machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and a washer-dryer. The cottage is warmed by renewable air source underfloor heating system and an open fire. The garden is fully enclosed and dog-friendly.

From the seas of red poppy fields backing onto the turquoise ocean in summer, to the wild seas and wind-lashed cliffs in winter - the seasons are ever changing and ever beautiful here in north Cornwall.

Poldark Filming Locations Explore Poldark’s hauntingly beautiful filming locations whilst staying at The Hide. The area all around was used to represent the Nampara Valley, which is part of Ross Poldark’s family estate.

Surfing Try your hand at surfing with expert-run lessons at lifeguard-manned Trevaunance Cove or Holywell Bay, where professional tutors provide surfing lessons for surfers of all levels. Other nearby surf beaches include Crantock, Polly Joke and Penhale, whilst the famous surf town of Newquay is just a short drive away.

Cider Farm Charm Take a tour around the local cider farm where heritage craft and Cornish innovation happily combine.
