Eating Out

The Tamar Valley has a wealth of friendly pubs serving traditional dishes, good cask ales, and welcoming locals. The Rising Sun pub is a short walk away from Whimplestone for an evening tipple, whilst fine dining experiences can be enjoyed at several renowned local restaurants - we love the Cornish Arms in Tavistock, whilst 2012 Masterchef winner Anton Piotrowski serves up artfully crafted gastronomy at The Springer Spaniel pub Treburley. The food is outstandingly good at Coombeshead Farm, Launceston, while Hotel Endsleigh is well worth a visit for an indulgent afternoon tea.
