Luxury self-catering accommodation in Lusty Glaze

Fresh sea air, a sweep of golden sand and sparkling blue seas; no wonder this beach was coined 'Beach of the Year' by The Times and The Sunday Times.

With all the elements for a perfect seaside holiday and offering an arc of blissful beach life in the heart of north Cornwall's surf coast, Lusty Glaze deserves its awards. Once a mineral mine, this privately owned patch of land is open to the public at no cost, and well worth a visit for those touring this strip of coastline. With a beachfront restaurant that hosts live bands, a lifeguard keeping lookout in high season, and of course the horseshoe-shaped beach itself with a long strip of sand and crashing blue waves.

Just to the north is Porth Beach; take a hike up the cliff path to enjoy stunning sea views as you walk all the way to Trevose Head (and beyond to Pentire if you have the walking bug, but remember you have to walk back again!). Aside from a few steep scrambles in parts, this well-trodden section of the South West Coast Path makes for a pleasing daytime ramble, past blowholes and lighthouses and with the odd sighting of seals and even dolphins. Then back to Lusty Glaze for a picnic under the stars, weather-willing.
