Out & About

Discover places to see and things to do whilst in and around Trelion, Cornwall to truly enhance your stay come rain or shine!

Towns and Villages The Cornish fishing villages of Charlestown, Fowey and St. Mawes are a short dive away and great to explore. From regattas to carnivals, the local village celebrations are rather quaint affairs well worth getting involved in.

Floating Cinema Take a trip on the King Harry ferry, connecting St Mawes and the Roseland with Feock, Truro and Falmouth. In summer the ferry transforms into a floating cinema, hosting open air movie nights and showing films such as Jaws and Perfect Storm.

Cornwall's Capital The cathedral town of Truro is around half an hour away by car and boasts boutique shops, cosmopolitan eateries and a lively farmer's market every Saturday - perfect for a rainy day. Check out the Hall For Cornwall website to see what's on at the city theatre too!

Beach Days Armed with a delicious picnic, head to the coast to enjoy a good old fashioned day at the beach. With miles of golden sand surrounding the county, guests will be spoilt for choice at The Stack (less than half an hour from both north and south coasts). Whether looking for a hidden cove, sandy stretch or rock-pooling haven, Cornwall has it all.

Festival Fun In the summer Cornwall hosts some of the country's best boutique music festivals such as the Port Elliot festival, Boardmasters Surf Festival and Leopallooza festival near Bude. Also not to be missed is the Padstow Christmas Festival in December, where this quaint harbour town comes alive with the festivities.

The Engine House Trail Be inspired by the history of your unique holiday home and follow the remainders of Cornwall’s industrial heritage; the area was once the most intensively mined region anywhere in England. From the remains of the old foundries in Hayle to the silent engine houses dotted throughout the landscape, the total length of the Engine House Trail is 24 magnificent miles long.
