For Relaxation

Ceredigion offers plenty of opportunities for coastal jollies and good old fashioned days at the seaside, as well as walking opportunities a-plenty for keen ramblers. If you can't bear to leave the comfort of your luxury abode, find your favourite spot and relax within the five acres of manicured gardens in summer time, sink into the hot tub or cosy up in front one of the roaring fires with a hot toddy following a family feast in the dining room (rack of Welsh lamb, naturally) during winter months.

There is parking for up to five cars at the side of the house, as well as a car park which will take 30 cars. The butler's pantry is equipped with extra cupboard space and a dishwasher (meaning no more squabbles over who is doing the dishes!), whilst the outside utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer. For those looking for an exclusive wedding venue, Florin has a civil ceremony licence.

Our Take

Property Consultant Clare says

The gardens are simply exquisite and almost have a romantic ´Alice in Wonderland´ feel to them; from the ornate fountains to the secret gardens and magical pathways entwined with roses, I almost expected to turn the corner to see the Mad Hatter´s tea party in full swing!

Don Your Walking Boots The Ceredigion Coastal Path follows a 60 mile route between the Teifi and Dyfi estuaries - starting just south of Cardigan and heading northwards towards Ynyslas. The Coast Path links towns and villages dotted along the spectacular Ceredigion coastline. Wild flowers, seabirds and a wealth of wildlife await the walker. The area’s rich seafaring history is much in evidence from iron-age hill forts and secluded smugglers’ coves to 19th century harbours.

A Feast of Fish The Cardigan Bay Seafood Festival in early July has grown to be one of the highlights of the Welsh food calendar and several thousand people flock to the quayside in summertime to see and taste the best and freshest of local seafood, fish and other produce.

Nature Lovers Take a wildlife boat trip and explore the spectacular sea caves and amazing local wildlife around Cardigan Bay; this stunning stretch of coastline has Europe's largest population of bottle-nosed dolphins.

Action and Adventure Based at New Quay’s sandy shores, hire kayaks, paddleboards, sailing dinghies and windsurfers from Cardigan Bay Watersports. The sheltered waters offer a quiet spot for beginners to try exhilarating water-based activities or for the more experienced to fine-tune their skills.

Nearest Beach 3.2 miles to New Quay.

It doesn't come more enviable than the superbly well-equipped kitchen and dining areas at Florin. There is a spacious contemporary open-plan family kitchen and sociable breakfast area, the modernity of which is interestingly juxtaposed with a more traditional country kitchen-style with the addition of a quaint dresser and large range cooker. The dramatic dining room seats up to 14 guests and is the perfect space to host dinner parties which will be remembered for years to come.

In-House Cuisine

If you'd rather spend your self-catering break indulging in the little luxuries, let an in-house chef prepare a mouth-watering meal for you and your party (on prior request and subject to an additional cost).

Eating Out

The bevy of harbour towns and coastal villages nearby means that opportunities to sample the freshest fish landed that very morning are numerous. Try the The Hungry Trout in nearby New Quay for lobster and seafood; or the Harbour Master in Aberaeron (four miles away) for great food in a contemporary setting.
