Luxury self-catering accommodation in Salisbury
A medieval market town with bags of character and olde English charm, Salisbury, and its famous cathedral, is an interesting base for exploring all that Southern England has to offer,
Sitting pretty close to both Cranborne Chase AONB and the New Forest National Park, Salisbury's ancient town walls and half-timbered buildings are as quintessential as it gets in England. The cathedral, quite possible the most famous across the British Isles, draws visitors from all over the world to marvel at its elaborately decorated Gothic exterior, tombs and of course, the original 13th century copy of the Magna Carta.
Further afield, the rolling, undulating countryside which surrounds the city is verdant and blissful, dotted with thatched villages, country pubs with enormous roaring fires and criss-crossing public footpaths which traverse the lay lines of pilgrims of old. Any visit to this part of the world wouldn't be complete without a wander around prehistoric Stonehenge, where tours and guides can be booked if a deeper understanding is desired.
