From the owner

“A coastal cottage full of character with an individualistic nature, there´s no doubt that being so close to the coast is good for the soul; I leave feeling uplifted and revived!”

From the owner

We fell in love with Coverack during an idyllic summer's day visit -  the sea was millpond calm and we spent the day watching the fishermen bring in their daily catch. We knew that this would be the perfect place for getting away from it all.

We were really fortunate that at the end of 2015, Siren became available. The cottage was already in good condition having been lovingly restored by the previous owners, who had retained the character and charm of the original cottage.

Like many of the more traditional cottages, the bathroom was on the ground floor, along with the sitting room and kitchen; and we retained this layout, as having the master bedroom 'suite' on the first floor of the cottage was more in line with the slightly eclectic flavour we were looking to create.

Inspired by the amazing setting, and tales of myth and legend that are often associated with this part of Cornwall, when it came to the interiors we wanted to create an alternative take on coastal cottage;

The interior scheme is individualistic, and for many guests, it's this individualism that draws them to Coverack Village; although it goes without saying that the sea view is the lure for many.

For us Siren allows us to take a breath, kick back and relax. We always have grand imaginings that the setting might inspire us to write a book, or perhaps sketch a scene, then we find we've idled the time away in the peaceful calm surroundings without doing either!

Guest Testimonials

What a wonderful week I´ve had in the beautiful Siren. It´s such a sanctuary and a lovely place to hide away from the world for a while. Stepping outside the door straight onto the coast path is incredible, even in January! I will always remember this magical week.

Thank you so much for preparing everything so wonderfully for my stay, it was all perfect. I really appreciated the laid fire, all ready to go on my first night - and for giving me a gorgeous model to copy all week! Thanks again.

We´ve had such a wonderful time in Coverack. Staying in this beautifully made and designed cottage has made it a holiday we won´t forget. The wintery weather didn´t matter when you can always curl up here, sit in front of the fireplace, listening to the sound of the ocean while drinking tea! A special thank you to the people of Coverack, we will be back for quiz night!

We´ve had such a relaxing break, Siren has been amazing. You have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable, from provisions in the kitchen to the fluffiest of towels, bohemian decor to modern touches like the Sonos speakers! We´ve had lovely evenings here with the woodburner on, a drink in hand and listening to the sea outside.

Thank you so much for a magical stay. Siren is the most wonderful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It´s such a great little secluded spot in the most gorgeous of fishing villages and we´ll be sure to be back. Waking up to the sound of the sea every day has been idyllic and the views from the cottage are stunning. You certainly have a little gem here.

We have had the most wonderful break from the city of London and Siren has been a beautiful home away from home. It was so beautiful waking up to the sound of the waves hitting the shore. Siren will forever be a special memory and we hope we will be back to experience it again one day.

First of all, can I just say that this place, the layout and what Laura (house keeper) has done has made our honeymoon the best. We thought our wedding day was amazing, but this place just carried on the adrenaline rush for us!

I have wanted to book through your company for a while and wasn´t disappointed, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Siren was stunning and we were totally relaxed and rejuvenated.

We just had the most fabulous week here in Coverack, spending Christmas in your magical cottage was the best choice we could make. We had such a fantastic time, thank you for the opportunity to experience this little slice of heaven.

What a lovely little place to celebrate a special birthday! Siren and Coverack are so pretty and perfect to relax and enjoy this beautiful part of Cornwall. We have enjoyed walks along the coastal path, cream teas and many pasties. Thank you for a fabulous week!

We couldn´t have asked for a better place to spend our time away in - Siren was absolutely beautiful and Coverack is simply magical. I don´t think I would ever do your usual holiday now going forward. I´ll be going to Unique Homestays for my future UK holidays!

Wow, what a beautiful little bolthole by the sea. Siren has been the perfect getaway after our wedding. I love the attention to detail in every corner. My favourite spot has been on the window seat, watching the seagulls swoop for their food above the glistening sea. Thank you for such a magical mini-moon. I hope we will be back soon.

We´ve had an amazingly lovely week at this wonderful, cosy and quirky cottage. Lots of great walks to Roskilly´s, round Kynance Cove and the beaches of St Ives. Fish and chips twice - that´s how good they are! Even the rather gloomy weather hasn´t spoilt our fabulous week in Cornwall.

This was a weekend treat from our children. We have had such a lovely time. They booked this cottage for us knowing that we like quirky places. We were not disappointed! A new part of Cornwall for us to explore. We will be back. Many thanks!

Thanks for checking in with me, I appreciate it. We had a really great stay and loved the cottage. It is thoughtfully put together and well equipped as well as having imaginative decor. If it ever came onto the market, I would be interested! The welcome treats for both us and our dog, Isla, went down really well. Coverack is absolutely lovely and we really enjoyed the coastal path walks around the village. It was a lovely, restorative week.

I am going to miss this beautiful, cosy bolt hole. Thank you Siren for a peaceful, relaxing and memorable stay. We have enjoyed watching the sea from all the different seats in the house and had a rejuvenating break. Just what we needed. Will be back again soon.

Thank you Siren! We came here to rest and to have some nice walks with my dog but got so much more! This little cottage really made me feel at home, watching the sea from the window seat downstairs was amazing. Had all the rest I needed and I can face the world again. Would definitely love to come back. Thank you so much!

A last minute booking that paid off. Siren Cottage is delightful and the perfect spot from which to explore the beautiful coastal walks. Glorious sunny days have been the icing on the cake, spring has come early. A great start to this years travel adventures.. I´m sure we will visit again.

Thank you so much for a magical stay. We have both had such a wonderful weekend, it’s like being in another world. Once again thank you for your kindness and consideration.

We thought the cottage was beautifully decorated and styled and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found the little touches such as milk and butter really thoughtful and made our break even more relaxing especially as this was our first break away with new baby. We shall definitely be using you again.

I travelled a lot in my life, have been in many countries and at unique locations. Siren and Coverack was an unbelievable experience and we enjoyed each second. We also decided to come back at least once a year to refresh this impressions.

Location was incredible. The unique styling appealed and the sea view was key the whole package is superb. The garden was one of the best features. The extras were thoughtful and very much appreciated from the cocktail making trolley to the scones.

It was an extremely lovely and peaceful part of the world to visit and the dog loved the garden and long coastal walks. The whole process from booking to arriving to now was easy and I can´t wait to go back to Siren again.

We had a wonderful stay in Siren, it was amazing! Everything was ready for our stay and so affectionately prepared. Every evening a cat visited us in the garden, it was so sweet. The location of Siren is incredible! The whole package is superb, the garden was one of the best features and all the added extras were so thoughtful and very much appreciated. The cocktail bar and the scones were a particular favourite!

Wow! We had such a glorious time at Siren, it was the perfect place to spend our baby-moon! We enjoyed some beautiful sunsets and walks along the beach but also loved spending time in the house when the weather was a bit rubbish. It was a great excuse to sit by the fire and cosy up with a book, a much needed break before the arrival of our little one. Thank you!

Thank you for creating this seaside paradise - the interiors are totally amazing, we never knew Cornwall could be so stylish! Definitely will be adding a pineapple lamp to our town house now, totally inspired.

We loved Siren. We loved the sound of the waves, evenings by the fire, being able to throw our suitcases in the dressing room and really feel like we were at our own seaside home.
