Sea Cabin

Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes, Cornwall, UK

A bijou bolthole set in the characterful village of St Agnes, the Sea Cabin, discreetly nestled into the cliff-side, enjoys a bird's eye view of Trevaunance Cove. From your 'top deck' vantage point on summer's days you can watch the comings and goings on the beach below, whilst storm watching by the woodburner on winter's eves affords an inimitable close-to-the-elements allure. This luxury beach cottage, white-washed and simply designed, is a dog-friendly domain and perfectly located for heading off along the coast path.

Introduction

Nestled in the quintessential Cornish village of St Agnes, the Sea Cabin offers a tranquil haven for busy souls. With a wild and rugged coastline and thriving community spirit, to immerse yourself in village life will make for an authentic Cornish stay. The interior scheme at the Sea Cabin takes inspiration from Scandinavian beach house simple living, yet you've everything you need to enjoy a romantic to-the-coast escape. With a view from every window, you're but a stone's throw from a bracing dip.

Inside

With a pared back bohemian edge, there's a real tranquility to the Sea Cabin. Cool whites create a light-filled yet cosy space. The open-plan living area complete with woodburner affords a kick back and relax vibe, and you've an abundance of local produce on your doorstep to encourage creativity in the kitchen. Nautical accessories lend an on-board essence to interiors, where a sea air-infused restful slumber is assured in the kingsize bed.

Outside

The Sea Cabin is a dog-friendly property, and you've four stunning beaches to choose from on your doorstep, and beyond once you hit the coast path. While a sand-between-toes visit to the cove is a must during your stay; the high-rise deck at the Sea Cabin is the perfect vantage point to discreetly watch the world go by whilst enjoying a sundowner. A ramble to the iconic engine house ruins (or Poldark’s 'Nampara Valley') towards Chapel Porth is a must; pass banks of heather, ferns and golden gorse on this spectacular stretch of coastline.

From the owner

“Small but perfectly formed, the Sea Cabin is a haven for those seeking a real retreat. You can spend hours heading out on foot along the coast path, or simply relax and immerse yourself in the setting.”

From the owner

We just love St Agnes; the community spirit, cafes, galleries, pubs and, of course, the beaches. For us the Sea Cabin - with its suntrap roof terrace - was the perfect coastal retreat.

Originally built in 1953 and in more recent years extended, the Sea Cabin was in need of interior updates, but we kept things simple with the scheme so as to not detract from the ever-changing vista. We wanted the space to feel fresh, light-filled and zen-like to ensure a restful stay for guests.

You can lie in bed listening to the waves, and wake to enjoy a bracing walk, knowing that you can return to light the woodburner and settle in for the evening.

The sunsets over Trevaunance Cove are some of the best I've ever seen, make sure you head up the coast path on the opposite side of the cove to fully experience!

Guest Testimonials

We have had a wonderful few days in St Agnes, Sea Cabin was just perfect for our mini-moon. What an incredible location! The hamper was so very welcome after a long drive from London - the meat and bread were delicious! The parking worked seamlessly, thank you for arranging this. We honestly had such a lovely week relaxing in the great British sunshine and taking our dog for some amazing coastal walks. I would definitely recommend Sea Cabin to others and we may well be back again! Many thanks, for everything.

We could not have asked for better service. The property standards of Sea Cabin and its location exceeded all of our expectations. This is our second holiday through Unique Homestays, and both stays have been delightful!

We had a lovely time and would have loved to stayed longer. Will for sure keep looking at your web page for any future UK holiday options, as you really offer lovely properties. Many greetings from Frankfurt/Germany.

We already loved this area of cornwall but staying here has made the week perfect! A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. We were lucky enough to be here for the carnival which was fantastic. Would recommend coastal walks in either direction. Can´t wait to be back!

Thank you, this was a perfect location, beautifully styled cottage. This cove is a real find! It has it all, lovely locals, wonderful food and walks with tremendous views and waves for body boarding. We have had a real break and we have loved it.

What a restorative week in your lovely home. Everything was perfect! We have fallen in love with this area of Cornwall and will definitely plan to come back for another stay.Taking this view back to London with us.

We had a great time at the Sea Cabin and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The property was furnished to a very high standard and was very comfortable and the position overlooking the cove was idyllic. Look forward to booking with Unique Homestays on our next break.

Have enjoyed our cliff top walks and sightings of dolphins. Kayaking is a must, just to see the seals! Fabulous house in a beautiful location. The scones were a real treat. Hope to return soon!

What a lovely house, so relaxing! Just what we needed, thank you. We loved it all from the seagulls to the seals, the scenery to the scones. From the fire to the friendliness of the local people. We look forward to returning again before too long. Thank you for all the lovely touches that made this stay so memorable (those scones were fantastic!). See you again soon St Agnes.

Well what can we say apart from perfect in every way. We love St Agnes and will plan to return soon. We met one of the locals, Carlos, who is a lovely chap with a lot of knowledge of the local area. The food at Driftwood Spa was fabulous, Charlie our dog also made a little friend there too. Thank you so much for sharing your seaside beach house with us.

Small but perfectly formed! A wonderful, quirky bolthole in the most beautiful location. Fantastic walks in both directions, although little pug legs were rather tired at the end! We tried both cafes on the way out of the village for breakfast and recommend both. Pub was great too! A fab place, thank you!

The sound of the sea, the local pub, long walks on the beach and the coastpath, evenings by the fire: Sea Cabin was perfect for our weekend escape from London. We will definitely be back!

Sea Cabin was exactly what we were looking for. We´ve grown so bored of ´cream and grey´ holiday homes and were thrilled to stumble across Unique Homestays. Finally something different! The location was fabulous and we would highly recommend a stay here.

Wow - what a location! It´s amazing what you´ve managed to create with the space. We had glorious weather so our favourite thing was to lie up on the deck eating strawberries and drinking chilled wine, and then barbecue supper in the evening. It was almost tropical! We even braved it and went for a dip in the sea (so the fire was very much appreciated afterwards!). We will definitely be back.
