From the owner

“We especially love the boating lake, ponds and pool house in our grounds, and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!”

From the owner

This old tanning mill was built in 1575 by John Fuller, and the tanning ponds are still very much present, just as they were back then. Our traditional Sussex sandstone and redbrick home has Sussex tiles and a grand exterior, but character and comfort are at the forefront of the design decisions we have made.

The calming waters of the large lake lie next to The Estate, where you can follow a well-trodden path for a leisurely stroll to soak up the beautiful surroundings and breathe in fresh country air. You may perhaps meet one or two of the plentiful wildfowl enjoying the tranquillity of the water. Take in the scenery where the weeping willows, majestic cedars and wonderful great oaks grow elegantly on the water's edge, and enjoy the views around the expansive gardens.

We are perfectly located to visit the Glyndebourne opera house which is just a short drive from the Residence. The property has a wonderfully zen heated swimming pool, hot tub and luxurious indoor spa facilities including sauna and steam room which are available all year round, complete with the grand outdoor seating area for dining al fresco, with full use of the barbecue and pizza oven and a fully equipped kitchen, ensuring your stay will be indulgent, relaxing and restorative.
