Luxury self-catering cottage Gunnislake, Cornwall

Once upon a time here in the Tamar Valley, visitors would travel upstream on boats to gaze at the blossom that clothed the valleys and the daffodils which grew for florists in London. Little Gillyflower's pretty cottage interiors take their inspiration from this wonderful valley heritage, with ditsy florals and riverside hues sprinkled throughout. Lovebirds and nature lovers are sure to fall for this luxury riverside self-catering cottage, set deep in Cornwall's stunning Tamar Valley.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

This sweet-as-pie love nest in Gunnislake has one king-size double bedroom bedecked with gorgeous soft furnishings which continue the romantic French theme. The cosy en-suite bathroom has a bath tub with shower over. The goose-down duvet and luxurious bed promises a blissful uninterrupted night's sleep, making lazy mornings in bed all the more tempting...

The wildlife-spotting opportunities all around this UNESCO site are vast; keep eyes peeled for osprey, barn owls, spoonbills, peregrine falcons, the beautiful kingfisher and conferences of dragonfly. You might even be lucky enough to spot the shy otter fishing for his lunch on the river banks! Romantic afternoons are best spent picnicking in the wild flower meadows which surround the cottage, or sat daydreaming with your beloved alongside the meandering river. Evenings snuggled up by the outside fire pit with fluffy blankets, marshmallows and hot chocolates will be just heavenly.

For Relaxation

Head to Widemouth or Whitsand Bay (each 45 minutes away) to explore the amongst the best of Cornwall's golden beaches and characterful seaside villages. The adventurous among you will be bewitched by the dramatic Poldark territory surrounding Bodmin and Dartmoor; each with rugged moorland, magical folklore and iconic granite tors. If all that sounds like too much hard work, simply sit back and enjoy the serenity on offer at this beautiful luxury riverside bolthole for two.

There is parking directly outside the cottage for two cars. There is a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave, and washer/dryer. Please note: the lane approaching the cottage is long and narrow.

Style: Home-Sweet-Home is the flavour at this romantic love nest in Cornwall; flowery pastels fuse with a bright white backdrop and romantic flourishes to create a peaceful haven immersed in luxury.
