Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Ascending the marble staircase, each of the five luxury bedrooms are beautifully appointed in a fuss-free contemporary style, with muted hues providing the backdrop for a blissful uninterrupted night's sleep. The vaulted super king-size master suite is resplendent in its majesty, with three glass walls offering views over the dales and beyond. This room also benefits from an walk-in bathroom with double shower, deep bathtub and Juliet balcony. There are two further king-size double bedrooms with en suites, a further king-size double and a twin room which share a family bathroom with overhead shower bath.


Approached via a long sweeping driveway, Skyline sits within 11 secluded acres of magical woodland and gardens with a gated entrance ensuring privacy and seclusion. Enjoy a mini-tournament with your fellow guests on the full-size tennis court - followed by a sundowner on the sunny terrace during which you can re-live (or forget) each point won!

For Relaxation

The vibrant village of Staveley and Staveley Mill Yard is bustling with a bevy of artisan producers, two village pubs, a micro brewery and quirky cafes, and is just a five minute stroll from Skyline. The open plan living area creates an atmospheric space for pianists to 'tinkle the ivories' on the Steinway grand whilst leading the family in a rousing sing-a-long. Guests with a penchant for exploration will be spoiled for choice with the walking opportunities on offer within the Lake District National Park and Yorkshire Dales. Enjoy a stomp across the valleys and fields before returning rosy-cheeked to enjoy a lively family supper as the sun sets on your perfect day...


Skyline provides helicopter landing space, three helipads are also conveniently located just less than a 15 minute drive away. There is parking for several cars and the property is well-equipped with two dishwashers, two log effect gas fires and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The owner kindly requests that dogs are kept in the gated hallway overnight. Parents with young children and those who are less-able should take care on the staircases.

Out & About

Discover places to see and things to do whilst in and around Staveley, Cumbria to truly enhance your stay come rain or shine!

On Your Bike The UK's biggest bike store is based five minutes away in Staveley right at the foot of the glorious Kentmere Valley, and is home to some of the best road, leisure and mountain biking in the country. Hire bikes for all the family and set off on a two-wheeled adventure!

Staveley Mill Yard Just down the hill into the village of Staveley, guests will be delighted to find a bevy of shops, eateries and local producers within Staveley Mill Yard. Once a former bobbin mill, this thriving shopping centre is much loved by locals and visitors alike. Recent additions include a local real ale microbrewery and Organico, the UK's largest wine shop. There is also a curry restaurant which uses spices ground in the mill itself. Well worth a visit!

Culture Vulture Every year in August residents put on an art exhibition for regional artists at the Roundhouse on Main Street, which includes lectures and demonstrations by notable UK artists- just one example of the thriving community spirit in this corner of the Lakes.

On the Literary Trail No visit to the Lake District is complete without a visit to the the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction complete with Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck, Squirrel Nutkin and all the gang. Look out for Mr McGregor! Fans of the Swallows and Amazons stories will enjoy taking a boat cruise around the places surrounding Coniston Water which Arthur Ransome used to populate the imaginary lake of his books, including Wild Cat Island.

Turrets and Towers Take a visit to the mock-Gothic Wray Castle which sits on the shores of Lake Windermere. The grounds are open to the public and are well worth visiting to see the specimen trees; wellingtonia, redwood, gingkoa, weeping lime, and varieties of beech.

Fishing The Lake District offers great fishing opportunities with breathtaking scenery. A site of Special Scientific Interest because of its international importance as a wetland, nearby Esthwaite Water has a large population of wild birds and in the summer the fisherfolk among you could be competing with the ospreys that visit the lake.  

Go Ape  Grizedale tree top adventure is a popular day out for adrenalin junkies and adventure enthusiasts alike. Built on a side of a hill, it feels seriously high. And that's because it is. You'll fly 200 metres across the top of the Grizedale Beck and marvel at the forest canopy 18 metres up a magnificent Douglas Ffir. Not for the faint-hearted!
