Labyrinth

Lickfold, Petworth, West Sussex, UK

Oh, if walls could talk! Built in the 1300s with traditional wattle and daub and later finished by adding a facade using the ruins of nearby Verdley Castle, this luxury self-catering home near Petworth was once the grandeur hunting lodge for Oliver Cromwell and his senior army generals. A piece of British history nestled into the West Sussex landscape, spend days rambling the hills before returning for nights sunk into the heated swimming pool and hot tub.
