Romance and rusticity reign at this luxury self-catering barn in rolling Herefordshire countryside. Formerly owned by dairy farmers, Keepers has been beautifully transformed into the most luxurious bolthole making a halcyon hideaway for walking and literary enthusiasts to explore nearby Hay-on-Wye and the majestic Black Mountains.

Introduction

Formerly serving as a cattle barn and hay store, Keepers' tin roof and stone walls fell into disrepair before the owners then spent a decade sensitively renovating it into the rustically romantic home it is today. Now this luxury self-catering bolthole invites couples to immerse themselves within Herefordshire's Golden Valley - perfectly positioned in the picturesque parish of Michaelchurch Escley within exploring distance of Hay-on-Wye and the beautiful Brecon Beacons.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Calming hues of blues and whites pepper the master bedroom, flaunting an essence of French boudoir. A luxurious rattan king-size bed rests as the focal point of the room, dressed in fringed pillows, layers of fine linens and textured throws to promise a sumptuous night's sleep. Sharing the open-plan top floor, the dressing area features a chunky bureau, diptych of window-framed mirrors and limited edition Bond girl artwork. The luxury en suite bathroom flaunts a slipper bath and there is an additional shower room and WC on the ground floor.

Outside

Adventure lovers and walking enthusiasts are offered an abundance of exploration opportunities at Keepers, with walking trails starting from the doorstep. Sit outdoors with a pot of tea and survey map to plot your holiday adventures; whether it be hiking Pen-y-Fan to embrace spectacular views from the highest point in southern Britain, or organising a Llama trek through Herefordshire countryside! If you can't tear yourself away from your romantic love nest, relax on the sumptuous sun loungers whilst soaking up the views of the Golden Valley beside the serene wildlife pool where you can spot the resident ducks and dragonflies.

For Relaxation

Stock up Keepers' picnic basket with a smorgasbord of fresh local produce and head out on foot, flasks of steaming tea in hand, to spend the day getting lost amidst the natural beauty of Herefordshire’s rolling countryside. After a day’s exploring, return to Keepers and bask in the warmth of the fire with a complimentary glass of Whisky, Brandy or Port from the owner’s personal collection and watch the hypnotising dancing flames.
