For secret swims and idyllic SUP sessions in turquoise coves, it has to be the coastline between Port Isaac and Trebarwith Strand, but no visit to Wadebridge is complete without heading out to the chic north coast beach resorts of Rock, Polzeath and Padstow.
In summer, their deep caves and shallow rockpools tempt little hands and feet to explore while, all around, inns and fish restaurants spill out onto the streets with laughing punters. Come winter, said inns roar with sea shanties and cosy fires, while storms lash against the windows.
