The Venue Sophistication, style and intrigue come in equal measure at this stylish manor house which is just a short drive to Poppit Sands and the harbour town and golden sands of New Quay. Florin is a unique wedding venue for couples looking to tie the knot in magical surroundings not far from West Wales' Heritage coast. The conservatory is a beautiful sunny spot which, when shared with the dining room, can comfortably seat 50 for a sit down meal in all seasons, whilst larger parties will be able to celebrate in a marquee within the spacious grounds. For intimate groups, the woodcutter-inspired garden house, complete with woodburner offers a rustic setting for a back-to-nature experience.
The Accommodation This stunning Victorian family holiday home has been sensitively brought into the 21st century and boasts a style and class all of its own. Seven spacious bedrooms are spread over two floors, each boasting individually-styled interiors and lovely views out over the manicured gardens and beyond. A truly special abode where 14 of your nearest and dearest can retire at the end of a perfect day.
The Grounds The tree-lined driveway on approach to this impressive property will wow your wedding guests and provide a dramatic entrance for the wedding cars. Secluded romantic gardens with ornate fountains and secret pathways provide the idyllic backdrop for photographs you will cherish for a lifetime.
The Ceremony The house does not currently have a civil ceremony licence in place, but the surrounding area boasts some beautiful churches and chapels where a licensed ceremony can be held. The Reception From informal vintage-style garden parties, to grand champagne celebrations, Florin offers a bespoke service and enviable location in which to host your special day. Up to 120 guests can be accommodated in a marquee on the lawn where you can dance the night away with family and friends after a rustic supper.
The Cuisine Whether you dream of a fully-catered silver service affair with organic rack of Welsh lamb and all the trimmings, or a relaxed fish n' chip supper enjoyed al fresco with wooden forks and paper cones, Florin can cater for your wedding day wishes. The spacious open-plan kitchen offers plenty of room for family members and friends to busy themselves with culinary preparations, whilst the dramatic dining room provides a quirky space for intimate dinner parties for 14 guests.
The Wine West Wales has a bevy of local wine merchants who can assist you with the perfect selection to complement your chosen cuisine. Choose from one of the recommended local suppliers or alternatively bring your own to give the day a truly personal feel.
The Entertainment From soothing harp music and a traditional male choir, to a good ol' knees up with a rousing local band as the sun sets, there are no limitations to the type of entertainment that you opt for during your reception- it's your big day afterall!
The Facilities Calm pre-wedding jitters with a game of pool (and perhaps a drop of single malt!) in the library whilst reminiscing times past with your oldest friends. Little ones will be kept entertained throughout the day itself with the tree house in the garden providing the perfect distraction from the main event.
The Practicalities There is ample parking for up to 30 cars at Florin. Caterers and florists can be recommended on request.
The Pricing For couples requiring accommodation, there is a minimum of a week-stay during the peak season; with three-night weekends available outside these times. In addition to the standard rental charges, there is a venue hire fee of £1500 for up to 60 guests, and £2000 for up to 120 guests. Marquee hire, portable loo hire and catering are in addition to the prices quoted.
