As a customer-focused business, it is our priority to alleviate concern from guests and homeowners during uncertain times.

Unique Homestays request that the following best practice regarding health and safety is adhered to when conducting property viewings, for both the visitors and homeowners. 

COVID-19 Guidance for visitors

1. All property viewings will be required to be confirmed 72 hours in advance allowing owners to prepare the property in accordance with government guidance

2. Before attending the property viewing, please confirm with a Unique Homestays representative if any members of the party are showing COVID-19 symptoms or have been asked to self-isolate within the last 14 days

3. We politely request that only two people from the same household attend the viewing in addition to a representative from Unique Homestays or the property 

4. During the viewing, we ask that social distancing rules are adhered to by both parties always remaining one metre plus apart

5. Unique Homestays will not provide PPE for viewers, however, should you wish to wear your own PPE this is at your own discretion

6. Whilst viewing the property, please make every effort to avoid touching surfaces

7. On arrival you will be asked to wash hands as a precaution, soap and disposable paper towels will be provided

8. Externally social distance should be maintained, and staff will be happy to answer all questions from a reasonable distance

COVID-19 Guidance for homeowners

1. All viewings will be scheduled at a time convenient both for yourself and a Unique Homestay representative

2. Before the viewing, please confirm with Unique Homestays if any members of your household are showing COVID-19 symptoms or have been asked to self-isolate within the last 14 days

3. Before opening your doors for a property viewing, we request that your property is deep cleaned, and the below measures are put in place each time.

3.1. Focus on areas that are likely to be touched, (i.e door handles, doorbells) with an antibacterial cleaner both before and after the viewing has taken place

3.2. Open windows to boost ventilation prior to the viewing taking place and during

3.3. To minimise any unnecessary contact, please open internal doors and anything else you think may be of interest, ahead of the viewing

3.4. If possible, provide hand sanitiser by your front door or soap and disposable paper towels for visitors to wash their hands on arrival and when leaving your home

4. During the viewing, we politely request that social distancing rules are adhered to by both parties always remaining one metre plus apart

5. Unique Homestays will endeavour to provide as much information digitally before the viewing and will be happy to answer any questions at a social distance if we’re in attendance

6. Should a lockdown be re-introduced over your booked visit or photoshoot, we will reschedule at the earliest time when it is safe and legal to do so

7. Following your visit or photoshoot, should you feel unwell within 14 days, we request that you contact our team who will inform our HR department to enable us to take the necessary measures to eliminate any potential spread of the virus
