Luxury self-catering accommodation in Snowdonia National Park

Dramatic mountain peaks, heritage sites turned adventure playgrounds and long coastal paths; if there’s one thing to say about Wales’ northernmost National Park, it's that it really packs a punch.

Fierce in its beauty and proud of its heritage and culture, the 823 squared miles which make up Snowdonia National Park feel like a country all of their own and, from the battered coast to snow-covered summits, there is much to do here for those in search of a hefty dose of fresh air. Fifteen peaks and nine mountain ranges are filled with legends, hiking trails and strong community villages while the beaches which soar up the west coast are dotted with ancient castles and rockpools brimming with life.

It’s not all hiking here though. Glassy lakes pool between mountains, tempting bracing wild swims and gentle SUP sessions while rapid rivers lure kayakers and rafters from all over the world. For those who really want to admire this impressive landscape with a leisurely view, cosy stone pubs with roaring fires and bars filled with local tipples await, along with the Snowdonia Mountain Railway, lifting passengers to Wales’ highest peak, without the pumping heartrate.
