Large Country House Cotswolds

Introduction

Handsome and elegant, this Grade-II listed self-catering manor house close to Ombersley affords guests the chance to experience luxurious relaxation in abundance. The impressive reception rooms, large entrance hall and cantilevered staircase hints at pomp and grandeur, yet the ambiance remains inviting with a peaceful welcoming feel. This property is also a spectacular and unique location for a wedding ceremony to remember- just imagine the photographs!

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

The spacious twin room and three large double bedrooms (two of which are en-suite) reside upon the first floor of the property, whilst the attic room and master bedroom with en-suite are both on the top floor. All bedrooms are well-appointed with a selection of faux fur throws, elegant furnishings and the finest of linens to ensure a restful night's sleep. There is a shared bathroom with a stand-alone bath and a unique cowhide rug providing added interest for the eye.

Outside

The Parsonage stands surrounded by twelve acres of magical gardens complete with mystical topiary, sweeping lawns, colour-filled borders, fruitful orchards, ponds and beautiful parkland with arboretum. The wide paved terrace to the rear of the property is simply perfect for al fresco dining or informal BBQs as the sun sets on the day's adventures. Look out for the tall fountain spurting out of a cider press stone - an impressive spectacle!

For Relaxation

Take a long soak in one of the deep tubs and let your troubles melt away. While away an afternoon with your nose in a book on the galleried landing or in the beautifully serene orangery; both are great spaces to escape the hubbub of the main house and steal yourself a few quiet moments. The top meadow area in the gardens makes a wonderful picnic spot and has fabulous panoramic views of the Abberley Hills.

Practicalities

There is ample parking for several cars. The property is fully-equipped and has a washing machine and tumble dryer for guests' convenience. Low slung cars should take care crossing the gated entrance due to the raised gate peg in the driveway.

EXTRA TOUCHES

Our Take

Property Consultant Clare says

The magical topiary on approach to the house was a very special welcome indeed, and made me feel like I was entering Alice´s Wonderland! I particularly loved the historic house deeds used as wallpaper in the cloakroom- a delightfully quirky and eccentric touch in this very special home.
