Designed with indulgence in mind, Pixie Nook is a traditional moorland hideaway oozing style and romance. The cottage sits in Warleggan on the Cornish Moors, a sweet Cornish hamlet said to be “twinned with Narnia”. There’ll be no better way for couples to reconnect than by exploring the beauty of the moors, cosying up by the roaring fire and chinking glasses of bubbly in the hot tub as the sun goes down over the hills.
The cottage offers a blend of traditional cottage charm and kitsch intrigue. With its crackling wood burner, original beamed ceilings and painted wooden floors; Pixie Nook is perfect for lovebirds looking for old-fashioned, uninterrupted romantic bliss. Cornwall’s Bodmin Moor boasts miles upon miles of beautiful wilderness and big starry skies which, especially when enjoyed from the hot tub, makes this sweet English cottage a dream hideaway for those who lust after adventure.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Climb the stairs to the sumptuous double bedroom, where the king-size bed with decedent velvet headboard, crisp French linens and Designers Guild scatter cushions will ensure romance blooms! Following a day stomping the moorland or an evening watching a lively performance at the local Sterts Theatre, there’ll be no better way to pamper than by slipping into the large claw foot bath with a glass of bubbly. After a gentle rousing to birdsong, there is also a power shower overhead for a more invigorating wake-up call.
This moorland home could easily be mistaken for Kate Winslet’s ‘The Holiday’ cottage. A secluded garden filled with beautiful blooms and wild strawberries is where the perfect morning coffee spot can be found. Enjoy invigorating walks with four-legged friends exploring the moorland…just don’t forget the picnic! With fresh strawberries and Cornish cream available from almost every country roadside stall in summer, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Back at the cottage, relax by the pond or in the hammock swing with a Rosamunde Pilcher romance novel in the very place that inspired her.
Discover the local flora and fauna by taking to the moor on horseback. When the enchanting signs of sunset start to emerge, return to Pixie Nook to enjoy a glass of wine fireside or in the cedar hot tub – the perfect remedy for soothing sore muscles. Head out to explore the foodie capital of Cornwall, Padstow or choose to dine al fresco at your luxury moorland hideaway with fresh farm produce and a star-pricked sky.
There is private parking for one car just behind Pixie Nook. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave. There is oil central heating plus a woodburner. Hot tub maintenance is carried out on a Wednesday or Thursday.

Twinned with ‘Narnia’, as you wind the Cornish country lanes through Warleggan there’s a definite magical feel to Pixie Nook´s setting. There´s simply nothing better than reclining in the cedar hot tub and admiring the moorland views on a summer´s day, or stargazing on a winter´s eve.
