Luxury self-catering accommodation in Kestle Mill

Inland from Cornwall's north coast and just off the main A30 route, this pretty little hamlet is ideally located for beaches, woodland walking, or just relaxing.

This peaceful little village is perfect for those seeking a slower pace, yet still close enough for easy access to the well-known beach resorts Newquay and Crantock. Trerice is a major pull for visitors as it's within walking distance of the village; this beautiful Elizabethan Manor House has well-tended gardens to walk through, plus plenty to keep small explorers entertained, especially if you let them loose in the Mowhay maze. Within the grounds, guests will find giant wooden skittles and a 300-year-old clock in the house, all part of the fascinating collection.

You may as well finish off the visit with lunch at the Barn restaurant, before heading to Perranporth or Newquay for an afternoon well spent on the sands, or further south to the cathedral city of Truro, with its cobbled streets, boutique shops and museums. The cathedral is one of only three in the UK flaunting three spires, and it's free entry for anyone wishing to get a closer look, plus a variety of concerts are performed all year round. Detour via St Agnes on the way back for a wander around the compact yet pretty village with its quirky shops.
