The idyllic coastal backdrop chosen for Richard Curtis’ love story 'About Time' sets the scene for fun-filled family holidays at this large, luxury beach house in Gorran Haven on the Roseland Peninsula. Occupying a prime cliff top position, Infinity overlooks the azure waters and golden cove of one of Cornwall's best secret beaches.
Infinity brings first class contemporary design to one of Cornwall’s most secluded and untouched coastlines. Proudly perched atop Gorran Haven's red rock cliffs, this luxury self-catering beach house affords wraparound views of the ocean, backed by the exotic vegetation of Cornwall’s Roseland Peninsula (a designated AONB). From days spent snorkelling in the crystal clear waters to evenings cosied-up inside admiring the moon dance over a stormy sea; Infinity allows families to kick back in true Cornish style.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Infinity's sleeping quarters stretch over two floors, in which memory foam mattresses, eco-friendly fibres and Egyptian cotton linens ensure cloud nine comfort for all. The lower ground floor is home to one super king-size bedroom, three twin bedrooms, a WC and bathroom comprising a shower and bathtub. Up to the ground floor is a king-size bedroom with en suite shower and second family bathroom with shower. Also on this level is the super king-size master suite with en suite bathroom and shower, enjoying mesmeric sea views and direct access onto the deck. There’ll be no better way to start the morning than by pulling open the doors and being greeted with a gentle salty kiss.
Summers at Infinity will be a dream. Competitive children will be entertained for hours playing badminton on the large tea lawn to the side of the house, whilst parents can retire to the second lawn which slopes down to the cliff top and spills down towards the ocean. Team the upper terrace with a chilled bottle of rosé and platter of scones served with lashings of Cornish clotted cream, and you'll be set for the afternoon. If you can tear yourself away from the sun-trap garden, there are beautiful walks through wildflower meadows and secret coves waiting to be discovered around just about every corner.
Being set in the heart of Gorran Haven is a luxury in itself. Sea fishing, paddle boarding and kayaking out of the cove will create memories to last a lifetime. Leaving Infinity's sumptuous coastal interiors and mesmerising views behind will be a hard task, but must be done. Cornwall's southern side is beautifully wild and full of charm, with countless quirky harbour towns to get lost in and some of the most exotic gardens the UK has on offer. Discover the world-renowned Lost Gardens of Heligan, or delight children with a visit to Trelissick at Christmas, complete with twinkling trees and real reindeer. Finish the days with roaring fires and family movies in the cinema room - don't forget the popcorn!
Infinity has private parking for three cars. The fully-equipped kitchen flaunts a Rangemaster, American style fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is an extra bedroom suitable for a nanny which can be used for an additional £150.

AROUND THE PROPERTY
Style: Originally owned by a naval commander, the rebuild of this beach house gives a firm nod to the nautical. White walls and wooden floors offer a natural interior scheme, with colour splashes picked from the landscape.
Property Owner Mark says
When you step inside Infinity there is one thing that hits you straight away - the view! The house is perched on a cliff top and has been in our family since 1966. We have recently built a new house to exploit the wonderful view even further. It´s like being on the bridge of a ship.

FOOD AND DRINK
Hail the fishermen below and bag yourself the catch of the day to cook up on the barbecue in the garden. You'll find Cakebreads Bakery in the village (owned by a lovely local called Barbara Cakebread - hence the name). Lobb's Farm Shop is five miles away and will provide all the extras you need to cook up a storm.
If you'd rather spend your luxury self-catering break indulging in the little luxuries, let an in-house chef prepare a mouth-watering meal for you and your party (on prior request and subject to an additional cost).
The owners personally recommend Number 5 in Mevagissey and The Tresanton and Idle Rocks in St Mawes. A Cornish pasty, slice of homemade cake and hot chocolate at The Hidden Hut on Porthcurnick beach is a welcome treat to warm cold fingertips after a blustery walk - look out for their feast nights too, but be sure to book fast as they sell out quickly!
