This architect-designed 16th century luxury barn in Trusham with outdoor heated pool is idyllically positioned in the heart of the verdant Devonshire countryside. Rydon is a tale of two halves; rustic yet contemporary, spacious yet cosy. Think chunky wooden furniture, exposed natural stone work, vaulted beams and characterful flourishes throughout. A luxury barn in Devon you'll be inspired to write home about!
Sat on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, a wealth of hiking and exploration opportunities are on your doorstep. With heated outdoor pool and rolling hills for miles, a rejuvenating self-catering stay awaits at this topsy-turvy barn which exudes a calming ambiance throughout.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Rydon has two luxurious double bedrooms and one smartly furnished twin room, all on the ground floor. All bedrooms are bedecked in fine linens, and offer a blissfully uninterrupted night's slumber in sumptuous surroundings. The master bedroom has a stand alone bath tub in the room, as well as a separate en suite bathroom providing a perfect place to pamper. There is a separate family bathroom with a walk-in rain shower for an invigorating start to the day.
Approaching the property along the mile-long private driveway, guests are welcomed to Rydon with picturesque views for miles. Set in 30 acres of beautiful Devonshire countryside, this converted barn sits in an idyllic hamlet in the Teign Valley. Pretty potted blooms adorn the gravelled courtyard al fresco dining area, whilst the sweeping lawn stretches down to the swimming pool at the far end of the garden.
Dine al fresco taking in the far-reaching views of Dartmoor with nothing to disturb but the moo-ing of the neighbouring cows. Enjoy an early morning dip in the outdoor pool, or why not take the family for a long hike before returning to your abode hungry and rosy-cheeked for a delicious family supper and an evening playing traditional board games in front of the fire. Dartmoor National Park offers a wealth of exploration opportunities- don't forget your walking boots!
There is ample off-road parking for three cars. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads (can be let off leads when down by the river). There is a washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, dishwasher and Aga. The owner lives adjacent to the property. The pool and garden is, on the odd occasion, shared by the owners.

The building is fabulous, especially the original medieval vaulted beams and fire place. The rolling countryside and pool are the crowning glory at this characterful former farm building deep in the Devonshire countryside.
