Luxury holiday home for families near Studland beach, Dorset

Those looking for a luxury self-catering beach house in one of the most sought-after spots on the Dorset coast need look no further than this jaw-dropping private home in Studland. From the cool, contemporary interiors to the glass-fronted deck which wraps around the entire top floor with views over Studland Bay, Rockefeller boasts beachside glamour in abundance. Wrapped up within the location that inspired Enid Blyton’s Famous Five novels, a land where ginger beer flows and picnics are a staple diet, Rockefeller is sure to provide a unique family holiday by the sea.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Rockefeller features all its bedrooms on the ground floor, meaning you can practically jump straight out of bed for morning yoga on the lawn (or a freshly brewed coffee if that's too much effort). The twin bedroom is tucked away from the garden, perfect for children, and shares the family bathroom with one of the king-size zip-and-link bedrooms. The second king-size zip-and-link bedroom has an en suite shower room, whilst the master suite comprises a super king-size bed and en suite with bath and rainfall shower. There is also a shower in the utility for sandy toes.

The last few years have seen big name restaurateurs and artists blazing a path to Dorset’s World Heritage coast. But it’s not just recent on-screen sensations such as Broadchurch which have attracted attention to Dorset’s unique landscape, Studland’s golden sands and undulating heathland have been attracting crowds since the poetic days of Thomas Hardy. Find a quiet spot on the beach to tuck into a hamper of cucumber sandwiches and jam tarts, or take a bracing stomp through the purple heather and reward yourselves with a plateau de fruits de mer at one of the superb seafood restaurants nearby.

For Relaxation

Adrenaline-seeking families can embrace all that Studland Bay has on offer including windsurfing, kayaking, diving and sailing. Beyond the beach, explore the National Nature Reserve in true Famous Five style, home to a myriad of wildlife including reptiles, wildfowl and deer. After the day’s adventures, kick-back in style at Rockefeller. The open-plan living area creates a relaxed vibe where the central log fire will provide the crackling soundtrack to the evening’s entertainment. For peace and quiet, head to the second lounge area - a large glass box room boasting two deep sofas, views out to sea and a large marble-topped table crying out for a game of Monopoly.

There is gated parking for four cars and a type 2 electric car charging port. The garden is fully enclosed, great for children. The Poggenpohl kitchen is steeped in luxury, including a Miele dishwasher, fridge and freezer and Quooker boiling water tap.
