Blue Point is set right on the beach front at Whitstable Bay in Kent and offers a luxury self-catering beach cottage with as much style as those in the Hamptons. Couples and families will relish precious days spent exploring the treasures of the trendy maritime town before unwinding in the lap of luxury at this effortlessly cool coastal retreat.
Set on the north coast of Kent, Blue Point is a bright and breezy beach house right on Whitstable Bay. Far-reaching sea views are complemented by the interiors within, where an achromatic colour palate has been enhanced with flourishes of intense blue hues, creating a fresh, coastal ambiance inside as well as out. Metropolitan types seeking a chic weekend escape will find this Long Island-style beach house and its ergonomic design an obvious choice for luxury self-catering staycations within easy reach of London.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The two beautifully bedecked bedrooms offer a vision of wispy summer whites with splashes of aqua and fine linens to ensure the aura of contemporary seaside chic flows throughout. The top floor master bedroom has a modern-meets-maritime theme with an adjacent bathroom (including bath, shower and WC) and unspoiled views over the ocean from the euro king-sized bed. Having the twin bedroom and living area on the first floor means children can enjoy the luxury of their very own living space and leave the adults upstairs, whilst the family wet room with shower and WC sits on the ground floor.
Take a breakfast of fresh coffee and pastries onto the sun trap patio, neatly bordered by an American dream white picket fence for extra privacy. With the town centre just a short walk away, go on an on-foot adventure to find some of the UK’s best oyster and wine bars such as Wheelers on the high street. A smorgasbord of shingle beaches, galleries and boutiques make Whitstable an all-year-round mecca for visitors with a refined taste. At sundown, dine al fresco on the deck with succulent barbecued seafood and savour the vista of seabirds and sailboats passing by in the distance. Retire to the balcony to finish the day to the tune of chinking glasses and family merriment.
Expanses of glass flood this modern beach house with a warm luminosity; from the wraparound bay window to the French balcony doors, where tranquil sea views can be admired from almost every angle. Step onto the balcony and breathe in the fresh sea salt air to feel cleansed from head to toe. When rain clouds burst overhead, there’s nothing quite like the sound of rain on the window panes with the comfort of a sumptuous sofa, glowing fire and favourite novel in hand.
Blue Point has parking for one car at the side of the property and the driveway; external areas of the house are covered by CCTV. There is a combined washer dryer, electric oven with induction hob, fridge/freezer and Nespresso machine inside the kitchen. Please note that dogs are welcome between November and March to coincide with the beach dog ban.

Property Owner Andy says
We love Blue Point for many reasons but we are especially fond of the views. We have witnessed the most spectacular sunsets here and the beach front location means you can even hear the sound of the waves lapping the shore from inside the house.

FOOD AND DRINK
Whitstable is a harbour-side hot spot brimming with bakers, butchers and delicatessens galore. Explore the abundance of fishmongers on your doorstep for the catch of the day and freshest local ingredients. The sleek kitchen has an induction hob and electric oven for your party to cook up a seafood sensation. Serve up champagne breakfasts and barbecued fish suppers out on the balcony whilst watching the waves lap gently on the shoreline.
If you'd rather spend your self-catering break indulging in the little luxuries, let an in-house chef prepare a mouth-watering meal for you and your party (on prior request and subject to an additional cost).
The sought after Wheelers Oyster Bar and the Michelin starred Sportsman both come highly recommended. If you fancy a warm welcome and cold beverage little less than a stone's throw away, The Old Neptune is an obvious choice.
