Sat on the shores of Loch Ewe, Skyfall is a romantic luxury self-catering cottage nestled within the dramatic landscapes of Scotland's Western Highlands boasting breathtaking views and a truly beguiling spirit. Recline in the hot tub and watch the sky 'fall' as the clouds settle upon tranquil waters...
With a backdrop of lightly snow-dusted mountains and far-reaching views over Loch Ewe and beyond, Skyfall is a very special luxury self-catering haven in the most idyllic of locations. The dramatic scenery is resplendent in its beauty, whilst whispers of folklore and magic can almost be heard blowing through the woodland surrounding this ancient crofting town. Skyfall is a romantic cottage hideaway that boasts a hot tub and promises weary guests a revitalising stay to renew body, mind and soul.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The bedroom benefits from a hand-built king-sized bed and is bedecked with a luxury natural silk-filled duvet and sumptuous linens which promise a blissful night's sleep. The unique picture window provides sigh-inspiring views over Loch Ewe which serve as a therapeutic accompaniment to breakfast in bed. Enjoy a romantic start to the day in the generous walk-in shower made-for-two; pure luxury with underfloor heating and all mod cons.
The small village located at the mouth of River Ewe is more northerly than Moscow and St Petersburg, yet has a temperate climate due to being on the Gulf stream, and boasts the most northerly tropical garden in the world! A world away from the cobbled streets of Edinburgh and urban energy of Glasgow, Ross-shire is Scotland’s wild frontier known as "the last great wilderness of Europe", and is the most remote region of the UK. When in season, guests at Skyfall can pluck the fresh herbs, salad leaves and berries from the garden to enjoy at their leisure. The outdoor hot tub with unique mood lighting is an idyllic place to while away romantic evenings as the sun sets over the loch.
Lovebirds can look forward to skies ablaze with sunsets and long sunny beach days in summertime, whilst winter is the season for rare glimpses of the bewitching Northern lights, battening down the hatches and storm watching opportunities a-plenty cosied up by the woodburner.
There is parking for up to two cars. The well-equipped kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and induction hob. The unique BBQ house with large fire pit allows guests to enjoy a BBQ whatever the weather (at additional cost)- don't forget the mulled wine, marshmallows and toasting fork! The owner lives next door in her guesthouse.

Property Owner Elizabeth says
We warmly welcome you to our unique experience. Ross-shire is such a magical place where you almost feel as if you´re on the edge of the world. The scenic road on the way to Skyfall is classed by the AA as one of the top 10 drives in the world, simply stunning.
FOOD AND DRINK
The modern kitchen offers plenty of space for self-catering and preparing romantic dinners for two without having to leave your loch-side haven. Fisherfolk will delight in being able to enjoy the freshest catch of the day to sizzle on the BBQ, with trout readily available in the surrounding lochs, and mackerel and whitebait which swim almost up to the door!
If you'd rather spend your self-catering break indulging in the little luxuries, let an in-house chef prepare a mouth-watering meal for you and your loved one (on prior request and subject to an additional cost).
The area around Loch Ewe is delightfully unspoiled, yet the nearest small town of Gairloch is only six miles away and has a charming selection of restaurants and cafes. The Na Mara restaurant has a tempting selection of local seafood on offer with the freshest scallops, mussels and reel-caught prawns.
