Luxury self-catering accommodation in Wincanton

With Cranborne Chase to the east and miles of lush Dorset greenery to the south, this hillside market town is home to many stunning walking routes, and hosts hikers from all over. Wincanton is a market town with a lively atmosphere, and there is lots to explore on days when the walking boots are off. Not far from town, a stroll up the River Cale is a great way to explore the area and its natural surrounds, Wincanton being the biggest settlement along its banks, but if you fancy spotting bigger animals then Wincanton's own racecourse is just north of town.

Travel fans pay homage to cars at Haynes International Motor Museum in Yeovil, the UK’s largest exhibition from around the world, and aviation buffs love Fleet Air Aim Museum, with its extensive collection. For the smalls, the paws-down winner is Longleat Safari Park, 900 acres housing gardens, animals, a maze and a stately home.
