Luxury self-catering thatched cottage in Birlingham

Introduction

Pollyanna is cute-as-pie and bursting with wonder; think antique furniture, traditional beamed ceilings, delightfully uneven floors, and the most luxurious linens all skilfully fused with a little magic and spice. This idyllic Grade-II listed luxury cottage is set in an olde-worlde village of Birlingham in the Cotswolds complete with village hall, friendly local pub and time-honoured cricket ground which plays host to various events throughout the year.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

With two luxury double bedrooms and a pretty twin room sitting beneath the eaves, Pollyanna is equally as perfect for families as it is for couples looking for a romantic break away. The master double with en suite shower room sits on the ground floor in the thatched annexe, whilst the double and the quaint twin room (with views over the shared courtyard) are on the first floor, and sitting alongside the family bathroom. After a day's exploration of the surrounding Cotswolds countryside, return ruddy-cheeked before laying your head upon cloudburst pillows and sinking into a blissful uninterrupted sleep.

Outside

With a candy-coloured Wendy house, prettily thatched wishing well, swathes of pink lupins, hollyhocks and foxgloves, and plenty of hidden nooks in which to sit and watch the butterflies, the gardens at Pollyanna are a faerie's delight. Little ones will be able to expend their limitless energy on the swings and trampoline in the large side garden, whilst adults will enjoy the opportunity to sit with a glass of something cold and enjoy the verdant surroundings. In season take your pick (literally!) from the cottage orchard which boasts the tastiest apples and pears, as well as cooking apples for creating your very own homemade pie.

For Relaxation

Take your ease under the magnolia tree and watch the blossoms fall around you like icing sugar, or stroll across to the village pub and enjoy the warm welcome and delicious home-cooked food on offer. Ramblers will take delight in the walking opportunities available in the nearby Malverns and Bredon Hills.

Practicalities

There is off-road parking for two cars. The kitchen is well-equipped with microwave, range cooker, American fridge freezer, dishwasher, Miele coffee machine and washing machine. The owner lives adjacent to Pollyanna and is on hand should you require anything.
