A cliffhanger in every sense, this jaw-dropping beach hut in Whitsand Bay promises a truly unique getaway. If it’s a luxury coastal self-catering escape you crave then you can’t get much closer to the elements than Breakers. With panoramic sea views, this is the perfect sand-between-toes romantic hideaway.
With enviable views over Whitsand Bay, Breakers is a cool coastal hideaway adorned with Barbara Hepworth prints, maritime finds and quirky Cornish treasures. Etched into the cliffside at Whitsand Bay, here couples can enjoy hazy sun-drenched holidays with uninterrupted sea views. Explore the coast path or spend long days on the beach below before heading home to enjoy sun downers on the deck or reclined fireside. Breakers is an idyllic homestay for all seasons.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Breakers has been stylishly designed using soft tonal hues, which draw inspiration from the coastal landscape. The luxurious bedroom opens onto the secluded deck, perfect for enjoying morning coffees and flicking through the broadsheets. There is also a sweet dressing room with a reclaimed vibe, meaning pampering and preening will be a joy. Fall asleep to the sound of the breakers after an evening stroll along the sandy beach below and awake well-rested after a sea air-induced slumber. Relax in style in the luxurious bathroom, featuring an overhead shower for an invigorating start to the day.
Keep eyes peeled for dolphins playfully leaping above the crest of the waves and seals basking in the sunshine. There are two spacious decks leading from the living areas; for ultimate romance dine al fresco on the side deck (complete with overhead canopy for extra privacy!) or softly sway in the hammocks with your favourite novel. The large front deck is the perfect location for ice-cold gin and tonics, taking in the panoramic beach views and watching the sun sink into the ocean.
Here at Breakers you’ll find morning surfers gathering in the line-up; watch the experts wrapped in the comfort of your home stay, or why not book in for a private lesson and join in the fun?! Day trip to the traditional Cornish fishing village of Portwrinkle, explore Finnygook’s rockpools or the secluded and often empty Hoodny Cove – the perfect spot for Cornish picnic. After a day navigating the coast path and sheltered coves, head home to warm up by the fire whilst stargazing out to sea.
There is room for one car in the allocated parking space on top of the cliff. Please note that the property is a steep uneven walk down from the car parking space and similarly from the property to the beach, which may be unsuitable for the less-able. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher. The washer/dryer is in the bathroom. The second set of bi-fold doors are locked in winter months and only available in summer.

Settings as special as this one are hard to come by. Perched cliffside and surrounded by sea views, the views are amazing and ever-changing. A truly romantic self-catering hideaway for a break you´ll never forget!
FOOD AND DRINK
The perfect space in which to create romantic picnic lunches as candlelit dinners for two, be inspired by the wealth of local produce available and get creative in the well-equipped kitchen.
If you'd rather spend your self-catering break indulging in the little luxuries, let an in-house chef prepare a mouth-watering meal for you (on prior request and subject to an additional cost).
With such a mesmeric view you might not want to dine out too much, but you have got a great selection of places to indulge locally. Just a 30 minute stroll away is The View restaurant where you can enjoy exquisite seafood dishes. For traditional pub food visit the Finnygook Inn in Crafthole, whilst slightly further afield the Couch’s Great House restaurant Polperro is well worth a visit.
