Luxury self-catering accommodation in St. Neot

In a sheltered valley in south east Cornwall, this pretty rural village has a strong community spirit, a majestic granite church, and easy access to the rugged charm of beautiful Bodmin Moor.

Deep in Poldark country, St Neot is perfectly positioned right on the southern edge of the moors, a pull for those seeking a good base to enjoy hilly walks, riverside rambles and stunning views. The church itself draws many who are interested in history, with its incredibly well-preserved ancient stained glass windows and 9th century cross in the churchyard. There are more intricate examples of ancient stone churchyard crosses in the nearby hamlet of Cardinham, just along to the west.

Families seeking adventure will love Carnglaze Caverns, a series of disused mining chambers with a sparkling underground lake. There are three magical caverns here, plus woody walks, a café and a craft shop. Bring comfy shoes for roaming and a cosy jumper as the caves can be chilly. Back above ground, the nearby river provides trout and salmon fishing, and water-lovers can stand and listen to the Golitha Falls Nature Reserve, as cascading water from the River Fowey rushes through a picturesque gorge.
