Felicity Park | Luxury Self-Catering Estate | Winchester, Hampshire

Daringly fun and flamboyantly joyous, Felicity Park is a self-catering family home near Winchester which oozes with class as much as it pops with colour. Wildflower beds border formal lawns, bohemian umbrellas shade the outdoor swimming pool and pompoms cheerfully swing from the orangery ceiling. With a bright soul and rambunctious heart, this Hampshire abode will brighten even the dullest of days.

Self-catering holiday home with swimming pool in Hampshire near Winchester

Hidden by a row of trees in the peaceful Hampshire countryside and less than two-hours from London, this luxury self-catering Victorian house is plentiful in playful colours and oh-so-swoonworthy tropical wallpapers. Patterns and shades combine with classic interiors, creating spaces which soothe and delight in equal measure. Elation isn’t left at the door, however, and across the extensive gardens blooms clamber over red-brick walls, banks of lavender intoxicate the air and bees happily bob through the bounty of cottage garden flowers. Luxe but informal, comfortable and full of imagination; once arrived you’ll need to be dragged out by your heels to leave again.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

This bright tapestry of a home spreads over a U-shape and two floors. Upstairs above the lounge is the master with its super king-size bed and two en suites; one with a copper roll top bath and one with a shower set beneath sloping ceilings. In the tower of the house is one twin decorated in flamingo wallpaper, one single with canopy bed and one double; all sharing the large family bathroom. Above the entrance hall is one double bedroom with en suite bathroom and one twin with en suite shower room. There are two separate WCs on the ground floor by the entrance hall and kitchen.

Exceptionally landscaped, Felicity Park's gardens are a pleasure to saunter through, sit in or simply gaze out on as the skies ombre into night. Wisteria climbs over every man-made surface, wildflowers burst with vibrancy in the suntrap courtyard and manicured lawns make for idyllic picnic spots and quiet patches for sunbathing. On chillier evenings, light the fire in the pool hut, wrap blankets around shoulders and cosy up with the sounds of the night tinkling through. Outdoor living has never been so chic!

For Relaxation

Bright, designer interiors and wonderful grounds make relaxation nothing but effortless at Felicity Park. Pour yourself a gin and tonic from the antiqued-mirror bar before retreating to the family room, where thick fabrics, bright colours and patterns mix unashamedly. In the heat of the English summer, there really is no better way to cool down than with a dip in the outdoor pool, snacking on chilled goodies rustled up in the nearby pool house as you go. Fancy working up a sweat? The full-sized tennis court is simply begging for a touch of friendly rivalry.

Ample parking is available to the front of the property. The bright, open-plan kitchen and dining area has two dishwashers, one electric oven with four hobs and a candyfloss pink, triple AGA. There is also a utility room which includes two washing machines, a tumble dryer and a drying rack set in a glass-topped recess in the ceiling. The gardener visits Felicity Park on both Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Out & About

Discover places to see and things to do whilst in and around Fullerton, Hampshire to truly enhance your stay come rain or shine!

Seek adventures in Jane Austen Born and raised in Hampshire and the base of many of her novels, Jane Austen and her influences can be found all over this southern English county. Visit the Rectory where she grew up in Steventon, take a hike in the New Forest National Park where Jane often found solace from busy life or sit under a tree in Chawton House, where it was likely she revised her earliest versions of her most famous works.

Smell the roses Hampshire is positively brimming with beautiful gardens to wander and take inspiration from. The National Trust’s Monttisfont House and Gardens offers a romantic, riverside spot to take shade from the sun or spread out with a picnic. Monttisfont is also home to the National Collection of Roses, where over 500 varieties fill the walled gardens with colour and scent.

Visit England’s most infamous site Just 20 miles from this Hampshire abode is an ancient landscape known all over the world. Stonehenge, overlooked by so many as they amble down the A303, is worth the journey in its own right. Wander the stones, learn about ancient British history and worship the sun with the druids when the summer solstice rolls around in June.

Wander Winchester Nestled at the bottom of a river valley and with handsome Elizabethan buildings lining the calm streets, the city of Winchester offers quiet, beautiful strolls and easy people-watching from café tables spilling out on the streets. A Saxon capital and holding the legacies of both King Arthur and Alfred the Great, this cathedral city wasn’t always so quiet.

Armed with canvas bags and a notebook full of recipes, head into town to Becky's Greengrocer for fresh fruit and veg and some good old fashioned customer service. Close by you will also find traditional John Robinson Butchers, where local meat of the highest of quality can be purchased and taken home.

In-House Cuisine

If you'd rather spend your luxury self-catering break indulging in the little luxuries, let an in-house chef prepare a mouth-watering meal for your party (on prior request and subject to an additional cost).

Eating Out

Whether venturing out for a light lunch after a country walk or a hearty pub dinner accompanied by rich red wine, there are certainly no lack of exceptional places to eat in and around Stockbridge. For fresh salads, deli snacks and the freshest of seafood, it must be Thyme and Tides, just four miles from Felicity Park. For boots-filling grub try The Greyhound Inn on Test, a country chic gastro pub where the honey and beer glazed pork belly is not to be missed.
