The Sea Rose is a luxury self-catering cottage set in prime position in a quintessential fishing village of whitewashed thatched cottages, where wildflower pathways and trickling streams amble down to the beautiful Cadgwith Cove. Singles and honeymooners will adore this matchbox cottage in its mesmerising fold of maritime Cornwall.
Cagdwith Cove is rich in seafaring history and The Sea Rose takes its nautical-inspired name from tales of bygone times. Once a honeymoon retreat to the fisherman's cottage next door, The Sea Rose has offered couples a luxury self-catering hideaway for over 350 years. The Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall is the most southerly tip of the UK and a sure journey’s end. Recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural beauty and of international botanical importance, the balmy climate plays host to lush vegetation and a riot of colour all year round.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
A vintage glass wall takes centre stage in the decadent bathroom, complete with WC, clawfoot bath and separate shower flaunting raspberry pink metro tiles. A profusion of tropical florals and colour greets you in the master bedroom, where a sumptuous king-size bed completes this cosy and romantic boudoir.
Tiptoe out to the patio with a fresh coffee and see the cove come alive at sunrise. The harbour is a tiny hive of activity in summertime. Watch as the fishermen launch their salt-weathered boats from the shingle beach and head out to find what Mother Nature has gifted in their creel and lobster pots whilst they were sleeping. The Lizard offers a beautifully rugged landscape, where wind-blasted cliffs provide shelter to the tiny fishing villages and hidden coves that reside there, helping retain their pristine olde-worlde charm.
Far, far away from the city and with bijou appeal, The Sea Rose gives couples the chance to get even closer. Charter a boat to explore the mysterious coves with your beloved; getting back to nature and nose-to-nose with the wildlife is a sure way to let the mind succumb to the important things in life. Recline in your choice of either day-bed or claw foot bathtub and listen to the gentle waves with a glass of something chilled - a blissful end to the day.
Due to the cliffside location, the nearest parking area is in the village car park approximately a 10 minute walk away and a permit is provided. Cars can pull up 50 meters from the property to drop off luggage. The kitchen has an electric cooker, hob, dishwasher, microwave and washer dryer.

FOOD AND DRINK
Watch the fishermen at work from the bird's eye vantage point of the studio style dining area, or opt for the slate patio on summer days. The hand-crafted kitchen, complete with all the mod cons, is an idyllic haven in which to create a catch-of-the-day culinary masterpiece!
If you'd rather spend your self-catering break indulging in the little luxuries, let an in-house chef prepare a mouth-watering meal for you and your party (on prior request and subject to an additional cost).
Opt for one of the many characterful inns for a real taste of Cornwall. A warm welcome awaits at Cadgwith Cove Inn, where you can leave mealtime to the real experts and look forward to the fishermen’s daily specials. The Shipwrights Arms is an artsy thatched pub set on the river in Helford, brimming with charm. Generations of visitors have trouped through the doors of this foodie pub and its small, seasonal menu comes highly recommended. For a special occasion, try the New Yard Restaurant on the Trelowarren Estate.
