Overview
This sprawling shoot location in Cornwall honours its rural heritage while also evoking a sense of eclectic English grandeur. A long, tree-lined drive leads to a historic stone manor, cottage and cluster of barns. A natural colour palette of greens, soft neutrals and pale pinks imbues timeless style to interiors within the manor and neighbouring cottage, creating a versatile backdrop for creative projects. The farm outbuildings, once left to fall back to nature, have undergone a sensitive restoration, preserving their historic character while embracing a fresh new purpose. Available to hire independently or as a collective, the spaces provide a flexible canvas for creatives seeking a location rich in atmosphere.
Spaces
Set within four acres of landscaped gardens, Coswarth unfolds across lawns, a tennis court, an ivy-clad railway bridge and a grotto. The east-facing façade of the manor features an eight-light granite window dating back to the original 16th-century farmhouse. Inside, four luxurious double bedrooms with en suites and a generous country kitchen are laced with period details – from recessed sash windows to slate and tessellated tile flooring. Alongside the main house, there's a characterful one-bedroom cottage and plant-filled orangery, rustic Courtyard Barn and modern barn conversion with a bright open-plan living space and courtyard. An additional storage barn has scope to adapt with paint or wallpaper.
The main house features four en suite bedrooms which can be used for commercial rental in addition to the location on prior request, while portable toilets can be hired locally for large-scale shoots and filming. Recommendations for nearby accommodation will be provided upon enquiry.
- PracticalitiesThere is on-site parking for twenty vehicles and undercover drive-in space, with easy transport links to Newquay´s airport and train station. More parking space for additional vehicles can be made available if required. There is a kitchen for basic catering in the main house plus a barn available to outside caterers on request
