From the owner

“Nare’s Yard has been lovingly converted to create a real escape-from-it-all escape. As idyllic for couples seeking sanctuary as family-led breaks, indulgent hot tub soaks frame end of day fresh-air forays.”

From the owner

As a hard-working dairy farming family with two boys, we need to relax well when we're on down-time, and we built Nare’s Yard just a short distance from our home to create an escape from our busy everyday lives. With this in mind, the house was designed to provide immediate relaxation on arrival with natural finishes of high-end quality.

We like to think that here is a place where our grown-up guests can switch off from the everyday, whether as a couple or with little ones in tow, our aim was to create a haven where guests can reconnect with nature and each other.

Nare’s Yard is the perfect base from which to explore; whether you head out on foot along the coast path, boat watch at St Mawes or head further afield to enjoy all that Cornwall has to offer.

We encourage all visitors to have a restorative break, and we are on hand should you need anything!

We´ve thoroughly enjoyed our week away in Cornwall. Nare’s Yard is beautiful and restful and the Roseland Peninsula is spectacular. The highlights of our stay were cooking fresh lobster, scallops and mussels all of which are so good from the farm shop, coffee and cake to kick start the day, and daily outdoor showers - even in the rain! Our family enjoyed staying at Nare’s Yard for our vacation. The service from both Unique Homestays and the property owner were perfect and responsive. The property is perfectly located combining a private setting and close to nature experience. The cows saying good morning to you from the adjacent field is lovely! Centrally located within Cornwall, we explored areas from Truro to St Ives, while the path across the field brings you to Portloe and joins the coastal path, so great to explore on foot too!
