Starting life as a cow shed, this idyllic luxury barn by the sea just north of St Mawes on the east coast of Cornwall's stunning Roseland peninsula offers plenty of room for all the family to unwind. The Sea Barn benefits from far-reaching sea views for miles around, and is not far from Portscatho with its stretches of sandy beaches and year round sailing and windsurfing.
With open-plan kitchen and living area on the upper floor and bedrooms down below, this luxury sea barn has room-a-plenty. Gentle hues beautifully combine with exposed stone and natural wood features, whilst luxury furnishings and goose-down duvets create a luxury holiday barn you'll be inspired to write home about.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
All bedrooms are on the ground floor and have access to the garden. The master en suite bedroom has French doors leading out to the decking and enjoys triple aspect views across the field and on to the glistening sea beyond. The en suite bathroom has a large walk-in shower. The large double bedroom benefits from dual aspect windows and feature 'slit' windows, whilst the spacious twin room has patio doors opening out on to the garden. The well-appointed family bathroom on the ground floor has a bath with separate walk-in shower.
The Sea Barn offers a wealth of al fresco dining opportunities that follow the course of the sun, or shade! The formal garden area is enclosed by the original dry stone walling and offers a large lawn with well-stocked borders and traditional garden furniture. For sun worshippers, the second patio overlooking the adjacent meadow is accessed from the ground floor (next to the master bedroom) and offers magnificent sea views. A pleasant ten minute stroll through the back garden gate and through the fields and you will come across the coastal path which leads down to the beautiful local beaches.
Tumble out of bed and onto the sunny decking to enjoy morning coffee with the papers and revel in the far-reaching views. Meander the streets and shops of nearby fishing villages of Portscatho or St Mawes, or take to the high seas with a chartered fishing trip to catch your dinner- it doesn't come fresher! Winter eves are best spent fireside with a glass of mulled wine and hot buttered crumpets.
There is plenty of parking space for up to three cars. The Sea Barn has a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron. Logs and kindling are provided for the woodburner.

Property Consultant Clare says
The location is what sets this luxury barn conversion apart from the norm; beautifully rural and yet within close proximity of the coast and the hubbub of the harbour town of St Mawes. The access to the patio from the ground floor bedroom is a real treat for enjoying lazy mornings...
