Surrender to the drama and majesty of Whitsand Bay with a luxury self-catering break at this Whitsand Bay beach house. Once you have fallen asleep to the sound of the waves and gazed out at the infinite views of sea and sky, you'll find it hard to believe there is anywhere else in the world. Let this 'forgotten corner' of Cornwall lure you under its spell...
Tempest is a stunning salt-kissed cliffhanger and one of the largest abodes on Tregonhawke Cliff in Whitsand Bay. The industrial interiors harness a palette of chalks and charcoals, with pops of zingy yellow which evoke thoughts of the rugged granite outcrops and gorse-lined coast paths, all of which can be found in abundance throughout Cornwall. The open plan living areas of this luxury self-catering beach house provide a stylish space for complete relaxation; throw open the sliding doors and let the sea air work its magic.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Both the spacious bedrooms at Tempest boast unbroken sea views reaching out towards the horizon meaning the whole family can enjoy sundowners from the comfort of their luxury bedrooms. The king-size ground floor bedroom has a spa bath with WC room opposite, whilst there is a shower room and WC alongside the super-king zip-and-link bedroom upstairs. Laying in the bath and looking out over the ever-changing sea vista is simply spectacular, there is no better way to relax after a day exploring the rock pools and Cornish coastline.
Wherever you choose to sit within the tiered gardens at Tempest, the call of the birds and the hypnotic ebb and flow of the tide will provide the soothing soundtrack to your day. After a day of beach fun, enjoy a family barbecue out on the deck with the vast blue ocean splayed out before you as far as the eye can see. Keep an eye out for the occasional pod of dolphins playing in the deep! In wintertime, wrap up in blankets as soft as the clouds above and watch the wild crashing waves from your cliff top eyrie with a steaming cup of cocoa.
The Rame Peninsula remains one of Cornwall's most unspoilt pockets, and it's a fine place to head when you want to experience a calmer pace of life. Whether enjoying fish and chips straight from the paper sat on the harbour wall of a nearby fishing village, or hurriedly finishing an ice cream before it pools in the sun, a summer holiday at Tempest will create happy memories by the bucket (and spade)-ful. If you can tear yourself away from the seaside, head to the utopian gardens of the ancient Port Elliot estate with a picnic of cucumber sandwiches and champagne.
This property has ample unreserved on-road parking on the cliff top. There are just a few steps down from the road to Tempest. The kitchen flaunts two ovens and grills, a combination microwave and grill, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer, dishwasher and coffee machine. There are non-slip dog bowls, dog towels and treats provided for your pooch to enjoy too!

Property Owner Tina says
Every day is different at Whitsand Bay; the ever changing sea views never fail to stir a different emotion. I love to lay in the bath looking out over the ocean, particularly on a stormy night. My partner Terry most enjoys the spectacular sunsets whilst I love to watch the moonlight on the water.
