Starting life as an old coach house in the 17th century, The Little Charcuterie has been tenderly transformed into a luxury self-catering love nest. This dreamy abode sits in the sleepy village of Marhamchurch near Bude in North Cornwall. What better way for lovebirds to relax than by gazing out towards the coast from the suspended daybed or hot tub with a flute of champagne in hand?
The Little Charcuterie is a first floor love nest set in the Cornish village of Marhamchurch, just a few miles from Bude. See the occasional waddling duckling pad across the long sweeping drive as you approach this charming 17thcentury smallholding, smell the dewy grass and admire the far-reaching sea views. No one does romance quite like the French, so let this private self-catering home lure you inside with its sumptuous Rococo inspired interiors and garden hot tub; perfect for romantic luxury escapes.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The double bedroom area was designed with romancing in mind; a palette of caramel golds and duck egg blues combine with decorative furniture and Toile de Jouy wallpaper to create an elegant boudoir with an air of French romanticism. There is a WC and shower room.
Take a trip to nearby Bude to experience a traditional Cornish seaside town. Fill your pockets with Granny Wobbly’s fudge and watch the dragonflies dance beside kingfishers and wild otters as you enjoy a gentle stroll by the canal. Wave hunters are guaranteed a thrill at the brilliant surfing beaches nearby; the stretch of dramatic coastline between Sandymouth and Polzeath offers on-the-water adventures for everyone. The less adrenalin hungry can don their walking boots and admire the stunning coastal vistas from the footpath.
After a day exploring the countryside and coast, lovebirds can retreat back to their boutique bolthole for a night of repose. Crack open a bottle of red and light the fire while your partner cooks up an al fresco feast on the barbeque using the best of local fodder. Perhaps you'll enjoy an evening stroll through the countryside or a soak in the hot tub, but as the crimson sun melts into the ocean there's only one way to finish off the day and that's by sharing chocolate dipped strawberries on the hanging daybed. Perfection.
There is parking for one car. The free-standing kitchen includes an electric oven, hob, fridge and compact freezer. The owners live next door.

FOOD AND DRINK
A French style free-standing kitchen with marble sink will make cooking a delight. The owners have a small studio space downstairs where they make sausages once a week, so don't miss out on some local free range sausages and bacon (at a small additional cost). Sizzle up a storm on the BBQ at sundown and get a true taste of the West Country!
If you'd rather spend your self-catering break indulging in the little luxuries, let an in-house chef prepare a mouth-watering meal for you and your party (on prior request and subject to an additional cost).
Homemade cakes, fresh lunches and fresh herbal teas await you at The Weir; a beautiful lakeside bistro which doubles up as a wildlife centre, just two miles away. Overlooking Summerleaze beach in nearby Bude, restaurant 'Life's a Beach' is a popular choice and comes highly recommended by the locals! For something more unusual, try the stylish Nomada at The Beach in Bude and sample ethnic inspired tapas dishes created by their Cuban born chef.
